These past two years have just been wild. Have we ever had footy so good before? - Collingwood’s insane run of close games, including a goal after the siren over Essendon last year. - A showdown settled after the siren. - Carlton eliminated by a single goal’s worth of percentage at the last minute of a game against Collingwood last year and then to 15th this year more than halfway on only to finish in a PF. - The Giants having their ballistic season turnaround. - Geelong winning 16 in a row, including the GF. - The Kangaroos losing a game because they can’t count to 75. - Sydney scoring their record margin. - The 2023 finals including five games decided by a goal or less including the GF. - This year’s top of the table clash in R19. - St Kilda going from dreadful to respectable despite so many injuries in one season. And by the end of it all, we really didn’t know who was gonna win it. It came down to the final minute and just four points between the top two sides. Mental.

@@SonyCamry That's just not true. The best team ten years ago would lose to West Coast's team right now. Skill only improves as does technology and training programs. The reason games are lower scoring is becuase the game has shifted to a more defensive type since Sydney won a premiership playing defensive, it is the way the game works now.

@@adamvanest199 yeah but my understand is that it is the teammates responsibility to take the the player away. Also, was there anyone on the mark? I can't remember that well.

it all happened too quick, I think the umpire called play on too soon and Bailey read the situation well as he was slowing moving out until the umpire called play on. The umpire should have called Bailey to outside 5 before he called play on.

This sport is awesome! I can only imagine how much fun it would be to play. I think there is a reason we don't know much about it here in the U.S.A. It would take the country by storm. And replace the NFL within 10 years. We need this ring of chaos. Our blood demands it!

During the GF Collingwood and Brisbane were just great, the result meant whoever was in front of seesawing event on the final siren. Both are "premiers" in my opinion, this shouldn't hurt Brisbane one little bit coming into '24.

I just love watching Melbourne panic! and watching the blues step it up and meet the pressure in that last 50 seconds of the game!! I’ve never been so ecstatic and passionate to be a blues supporter than I have this year!! What a breakout season. That game was special!

Acres it wasn’t so much the goal but the passage of play. Same with DeGoey’s: the way the teams got the ball to each of them. I think that’s a great reason to highlight the goals: the team work leading up to them.
