@@kritical_2638 Maybe, maybe not. But what superhero isn't given Superman came first. But they feed on each other. For example, Shazam flew first. Shazam had a female derivative (Mary Marvel over Supergirl) first. Shazam had a superhero family first and so on.

DC heroes kinda suck besides batman and superman. Green lantern sucks compared to his similar counterpart in marvel NOVA. And flash is over hyped. Wonder woman is not as cool as she hulk or someone like Jean grey or scarlet witch. Cyborg is shitty compared to any big robot hero in marvel. The only good heroes in dc are superman and batman and maybe aquaman for the popular characters. Aquaman is underrated. But overall marvel characters wipe the floor with DC's characters.

Luke Howard this list isn’t about the ten best written heroes, it’s about the ten greatest. Clearly the list is going to be filled with only famous names, as the list is meant to ranking how influential they are, not how good they were written as that’s clearly subjective. With that being the topic, it’s also important to note that this is his personal list, as he keeps bringing up how much each superhero meant to him.

For me personally these are the biggest influence's: *Superman* - The first and Biggest influence to a hero in fiction, the literal godfather, blueprint and standard of fictional protagonists even outside of Superheroes. *Captain America*- The uncle and an OG of Superheroes who represents perseverance, discipline and morality and the symbol of the best of America. *Hulk* - Biggest influence to all powerhouses of fiction, the trump card, the big brute of heroes, the measuring stick of super strength, the brute that every powerhouse has to defeat to prove their might. *Batman* - The genius and mastermind above all heroes, the literal embodiment of vengeance and justice and the father of dark themed Superheroes. *Spider-Man* - Everyone's favourite kid and arguably the most loved and the most relatable kid of Superheroes the standard for teenage Superheroes in fiction, the embodiment of responsibility. *Wonder Woman* - The ultimate mother of Superheroes and The mother to all mythological heroes in comics who represents the best of femininity and inspires all females to be strong. P.S: *In my opinion out of all these heroes Hulk's influence on Heroes with Super strength is the most underrated and ignored and I blame Universal and the MCU for poor portrayals of his power leading to him being ignored*

I like Batman so much because its the closest us humans can actually achieve to these great heroes, Superman and Spiderman are impossible but to be "The Worlds Greatest Detective" with a few gadgets on his side that cost billions of dollars. I mean.. we actually could do that in real life. That is why Batman always seems to blow my mind compared to these unrealistic heroes.

No I am sorry but no, you can't have superman 4th as much as people might hate him for being overpowered he is the most Hero of them all, he is always there when people need him. Also if we take under consideration the fact that we compare superheroes superman can save more loves in an hour than anyone else expect maybe flash but there are things.the scarlet speedster can't do ( stop a meteorite ). The top 3 are and will always be: 1. Superman ... For the reasons above. 2. Batman ... Because he is the most badass and relatable to a normal hero. You just can't dislike him. 3. Spiderman... He is also highly relatable, funny and well amazing or should I say spectacular?

It would make sense for it to be in that order in sales because when Batman came out it took him a few years to gain popularity while Superman was an instant success. Ok I'll put in my 2 cents; 1 Superman 2 Batman 3 Captain Marvel (The Original) 4 Spider-Man 5 Colossus 6 Captain America 7 Thor 8 Aquaman 9 Green Lantern 10 Wonder Woman Not an easy list to compile. It is so painful to me what has happened at DC over the past 3 years and now Marvel may be on the verge of following suit. I've been collecting comics for well over 40 years. For most of that time I wanted to read everything DC and Marvel was putting out. I loved feeling like a part of every part of those universes and I couldn't imagine anything changing that, but DC found a way. Now I'm worried that Marvel may follow that same horrible path.

No, the Original Captain Marvel was never SHAZAM; that is his magic word which is the name used by the Wizard who granted him his powers.Actually the Wizard's real name is unknown, he adopted that name because it is an acronym for the powers that he granted to others. Actually he was the first to use powers from a group of gods and heroes before choosing Teth Adam (son of the Pharaoh at the time) to take his place and then centuries later he chose Billy (which was supposed to be part of some prophecy). The Wizard was given a back story in World's Finest #262. To make a long story short, he was a humble yet noble young shepherd boy who was chosen by a group of gods and heroes to be their Champion. His magic word was VLAREM (and yes if you rearrange the letters it spells Marvel). The confusion associated with his name is the result of some idiotic copyright B.S. that is pretty well known by now. Captain Marvel is a great superhero name and while I do like the Marvel version (Mar-Vell not the Carol Danvers version) he is not the original. Marvel has just forced the name on a great many characters over the years so that they won't lose the copyright (if you don't use it you'll lose it). Billy Batson is the One and Only Original Captain Marvel ( I will never call him SHAZAM). Though I have loved much of Geoff Johns work, he has totally ruined one of the greatest comic book heroes of all time with that curse of shazam crap! The New 52 SUCKS! Harits Taufiq Yeah the Batman fan base is obnoxious so he is overrated in that aspect, but just because many people, including myself, have him as there favorite superhero doesn't make him overrated. He is a very interesting character with extremely well written stories and arguably the best villains.

Batman is one of the most popular characters of all time, even if one does not count comics. He's on par with fiction's greatest like James Bond, Frankenstein, Darth Vader, Robins Crusoe, Superman and so on. This is not a most powerful superhero list, but a popularity contest. Most heroes will wipe him out in a second. The writers tend to write Batman as the greates, but in a real world he would not have a chance. Let's be honest, no one gave a shit about Marvel characters before the MCU started, until then Marvel were milking Spiderman who has been their flagship for decade. Marvel were also on the brink of bankruptcy cause no one really cared. Batman is a human who people can relate to. His story is dark and complex which scores alot with the public. He is the most popular comicbook character off all time without doubt!

Max Payne most heroes......df he has plans to take down the whole justice league if needed plus even if he didnt have a plan for a certain hero there's a good chance he'll find a way to beat them

Max Payne Actually, if Batman has time to prepare for a fight (95% of the time, he's hella prepared), he can defeat virtually anyone. For instance, he defeated DARKSEID with a "God-killing" fist. He has shown on multiple occasions to have defeated superman with the help of Kryptonite gear and gadgets.

Because before that no Marvel guy was worried about making a good marvel movie except for sam raimi and brian singer, also the MCU turned marvel main stream ,its popularity was a perk and a curse, because now marvel comics are now pandering to SJWs and less to its longtime fans

1. Nightwing (I would say the Crow who’s my favorite comic book character of all time and that graphic novel is my favorite book period but he isn’t really a hero, plus I’ve loved Nightwing since I was a little kid. I think he’s way cooler than Batman) 2. The Flash (I just love his powers and the range of them. There’s so many things he’s able to do with them) 3. Spider-Man (I just relate to him like most comic book fans, he reminds me of myself a lot character-wise) After the top three it’ll probably change but for right now, off the top of my head it stands at: 4. Batman (Its Batman, how could you not like him, plus as a character in general he’s just amazing and has had some of my all time favorite stories ever) 5. Green Lantern (admit it, you’ve wanted a green lantern ring at some point, those powers would be really cool, and as someone who’s always had a big imagination and loves creating, whether it be music, art, or writing, a character with powers based around his imagination sounds really cool) 6. Gambit (he extremely underrated and has really cool powers, most people don’t understand quite how powerful he really is, and his character overall is awesome) 7. Deadpool (because Deadpool lol, he’s great and extremely unique which is awesome) 7. Rorschach (he’s just great, and the watchmen as a whole is an amazing book and great movie, but he’s always stuck out to me, I just like him) 8. Thor (Just another one that I’ve always just thought was cool and isn’t done justice in the movies at least power-wise, I even have a replica of mjolnir) 9. Wolverine (he has some of the best character development in Marvel which lately has been lacking in that department with their characters, and his backstory is really good) 10. Hulk (despite being excessively overrated you can’t dislike the hulk)

You said deadpool is the best assassin in all of comics but I disagree, In my opinion deathstroke is much better and more badass and just generally better in every way.

Mine are: 1) Spiderman 2) Batman 3) Superman 4) Hulk 5) Daredevil 6) Flash (Barry/Wally) 7) Green Lantern (Hal/John) 8) Wolverine 9) Iron Man 10) Wonder Woman I also love Deadpool, Lobo, and Deathstroke but I consider them more anti-heroes. Hell they can even be villains depending on the story lol
