The Swedish Royal Family has got French blood ( from General Bernadotte who became king of Sweden in 1818). The Danish one too ( Queen Margaret of Denmark' s husband was Henri de Montpezat). The Spanish one has got lots of French blood (the Bourbons). Since William the Conqueror to the Stuarts in England, the English Monarchy had a lot of French blood too !

Yes! Because queen Victora husband Albert had that last name. The last name is changed by his grandson George V in to a Winsor. First king of Belgium was Victora's uncle (her mother brother). Because Victora and Albert were first cousns. Her mother and his father were brother and sister.

King Felipe of Spain is actually, Felipe De Bourbon Y Grecia, not Anjou. The Anjou's are another branch of the Borbons. Which happens to be one of the pretenders to the French throne.

Yes, Felipe is a direct descendent of Louis XIV King of France whose grandson was Philippe d'Anjou or Philippe de France, who became Felipe V, king of Spain, the first king of the Bourbon dynasty. His reign was the longest reign of the Spanish monarchy.

Saxe Coburg & Gotha is also the real name of the House of Windsor, they changed it in 1917 because it sounded too Germanic. Also Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glucksburg was Prince Phillip's real surname, before he took the adoptive name Mountbatten (the anglicised version of Battenburg, again changed because of anti-German sentiments at the time).

His mother, Alice, was a member of the Battenberg family, a morganatic branch of the house of Hesse. His father, Andrew of Greece and Danmark, belonged to the Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg family. They came to the danish throne in the middle 19th century and a younger son was elected to be king by the Greek people.

Well they are not from England......the queen Victoria was from the house of hanover. the saxe coburg are recent regents in the United Kingdom, today William is a descendent from the saxe Danish and Greek Kingdom, The Queen Victoria was the last Queen of that line.

The royal descendants of John Willem Friso, Prince of Orange currently occupy all the hereditary European royal thrones, with Friso and his wife, Landgravine Marie Louise of Hesse-Kassel, being common ancestors of all the European monarchs. Prince Albert II and Queen Elizabeth II were seventh cousins, twice removed.

@@boleyn8463 we can find several connections that are not because of queen Victoria. Even into the British Royal family. The Norwegian Royal family is a branch of the Danish Royal family. The mother of the current Queen of Denmark was the daughter of the previous King of Sweden. Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh was born Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark. Even though Greece is not a monarchy it has a Royal family and the Queen of Greece is actually the sister of the Queen of Denmark. Time to pull out Christian IX of Denmark, the so called father-in-law of Europe. among his children we find Frederick VIII of Denmark, Alexandra, Queen of the United Kingdom, and Maria Feodorovna, Empress of Russia.

PS. Do you know that the danish king Christian the 9 is call Europe's father in law. He got 4 of his children married into royal family's.. so he had the ear of a lot of great kings and the Russian Zar Nicolai, her was married to a Danish prinsesse . 🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰

@@helycrisea8189 yes we do , we are proud to say ,that we have Henri Marie Jean André de Laborde de Monpezat the Prince consort of Denmark ♥️ besides that he was Prince ,he was an amazing artist , he made som wonderful sculpture,that you can see around ,the Royal Garden in denmark. And Château de Cayxis one of the places that the queen and Prince loved to stay .. our queen loves to go to the market and buy fresh produce and talk to the other visitors. Just like any other women .. so thank you France, 🇩🇰🇨🇵

We were staying in Aarhus with our friends - a French and Danish couple. They live in France now. We visited Copenhagen, a beautiful city. I wish I had seen Prince Henri de Montpezat 's sculptures in the Royal gardens ! I didn't know about them. Yes, I think you've got a beautiful Queen, a beautiful Royal Family and a beautiful Country ! Next time I'm in the South West of France, maybe I'll go and visit the Château de Cayx . Well guys actually the house of Windsor is really the house of saxe Coburg and gotha....its name was changed during WW 1 for obvious reasons...so the Belgians and the British have the same royal house....though with the death of EII, the house in Britain is now the same as in Norway and Denmark because prince Phillip belonged to a house which was a junior brach of The Danish and Norwegian Royal houses

The royal house of the UK is still Windsor, and it will continue to be known as that. Prince Philip renounced his Greek and Danish titles before his marriage to Princess Elizabeth (the late Queen) and adopted the surname used by the British branch of the Batternberg family - from his mother's side - which is Mountbatten. The Queen issued a proclamation early in her reign stating that her descendants would bear the royal house of Windsor, and that the surname used in the male-line and by unmarried women would be Mountbatten-Windsor. Technically, by strict descent of Prince Philip as a Greek prince, yes. In reality, no.

And the only reason Britain lost Hanover was because it barred women from inheriting the throne. As Victoria was a woman, her uncle Ernst August became king of Hanover. The Bernadotte name is french, but remember the Bernadotte married into other Royal Houses. The Bernadottes are german by blood and King Gustav XVI is a descendant of Kaiser Wilhelm I and Queen Victoria on both sides of his family, so you cant get more German than that with blood connections.

What is fun for them is that most of them, apart from England, the crown prince couples have had a first-born girl. so we will have many Queens when the 3rd generation takes over.I was proud and happy of the king and queen of Norway, they had to wait for 9 years before they got married because Sonja was an ordinary gir and King Olav wanted his son to marry nobles l

Les bourbons are descendents of Henri IV King of France..........they are one of the oldest dynasty in Europe,his wife was Marie de medicis ,la reine mère is born in Italy and died in Germany. Princess Eleanor looks like la reine mère.

@@deutschermichel5807 Absolutely yes. He was the first Bourbon of his dynasty -1594. He also was the descendant of Hugues Capet -887-the first Capetian king. Henri IV belonged to a younger branch of the Capetians just like the Valois before him -1328-1575. The older branch called the Capetians was the direct male line but it became extinct in 1322.

Speaking of the house of Grimaldis’ my lawn care and landscaping young man has as his last name, Grimaldi!! I’m going to absolutely share this with him. He is very kind, respectful and very handsome. Sch in German is pronounced Sh, and w is usually pronounced like a v especially in the middle of words. St is often also pronounced like Sht. So Schleswig Holstein Sonderburg Glucksburg is pronounced Shlezvig Whole-shtein (long I as in English ‘time’) Sonderburg Glucksburg. Gotha. And as with most European languages, German does not have the the two English pronunciations for these letters soft or hard when put together, it’s just pronounced simply as a ‘T.’ Saxuh Coburg Go-tah.
