How did we measure the most boring states in America? We analyzed the number of married people, the number of families with kids, the number of old people, and things to do in each state. The result is the most boring states in the United States.

I didn't get that lol. The criteria is flawed because I have lived in MN all my life and there's always things to do especially since I moved from Northern MN to the Twin Cities metro area. MN is alot of fun but I'm not hurt it's on this list lol I just think the criteria is off. As people seen. We even riot and burn down police precincts during a global pandemic. I feel like there's always something going on here lol.

I moved here because of the music scene though. The Twin Cities was ranked numerous times as the number 1 music scene in America. Well before covid of course but you could always find somewhere with live music and the diverse selection of venues for artists. I'm really looking forward to this COVID stuff ending so we can get back to that.

Come on guys. Nick is using humor. Get over it. He picked on my entire state of Pennsylvania. Its was true and funny. In another video he said nice things about Pennsylvania. I've lived in quite a few states and visited 48 of the 50 Some are safer than others but all in all there is good and bad in all the states. I lived in Iowa And Missouri There is not a lot of night life, only in the real big cities. But there was a lot to do, people get to know each other, help and care for each other. I will admit I love the mountains on the east coast and the history. But in the Midwest I've seen the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets and the night sky is stunning. I've never seen such beautiful bright stars....you can almost reach up and touch them. Lighten up and laugh. Have fun for Pete's sake.

Honestly Pennsylvania is horrible. I am from New Jersey and and live hear (I am a kid and have no say in where we live). It is super boring I can’t just go outside and around the corner is my friends house. Everyone is so proper hear like in Jersey we never called our friend’s parents mr/mrs we would just say their first name. Also everybody knew everybody and things didn’t have to be planned out. It was like I could just tell my friends I want to go and hangout and we would just go hangout. My parents tell me to get off the video games and I don’t cuz I feel like I have nothing to do plus I get to play with my friends from jersey, who I just feel really happy around. PA is just not a place for me.

As a introverted person who already was raised too much stuck, in a small town, today I would look for fun places, big cities, a lot of things to do and see people. I believe everyone sometime need to find activities to enjoy your place, your city even more. Even for a family, I can imagine how difficult for a teenager be raised in a small town, with a limited possibility of friendship, activities, watching new people. I'm not saying small town is just boring. They have their own magic, in a side is good. But I think we need a sorta balance.

Respect your opinion, but I feel as if you disrespected some of these states, and the people that live there. I’m a teen, and partying is fun, but is crime, poverty, and rape fun? Or is staying cooped up in your room the whole day boring? You need to respect older people because sure, they may not be as attractive, or as funny, but they still have great stories and can crack a unique joke. Plus, you haven’t even touched the natural beauty of most of these states. Is skiing boring? Boating? Snowboarding? Hunting? If it is boring, I’m so sorry for your perspective on life.

@@dimase86 Whatever you have to tell yourself to get by. Make the fries extra crispy next time. People really like that. J/K The problem with your story is that anybody can be anything he wants to be, on the internet. Maybe your story is true, maybe my guess is true. Either way, doesn't change the fact that being married and creating a legacy, people to leave all the supposed wealth you've created for yourself to, is WAY more rewarding than not. I understand being jaded and also the MGTOW mentality. But, from someone who has been married, happily, for 20 years. All you have to do, is make sure you pick the right woman. I get that it is much more difficult than stated, and requires a good amount of blind luck. But I can't imagine if my genes would die with me. I would just be another failed organism. May as well have been a queer, and no one wishes that on someone.

@@dimase86 why on earth would I be jealous? Not everyone wants no legacy. I actually kind of feel sorry for people who go through life alone. Funny thing is. You likely went to college for a degree did all of this stuff and the only thing you have to show for it is, stuff. I on the other hand did not go to college, my wife has never worked, we have 2 kids who were raised properly. I make well into 6 figures. Now that the kids are older, the wife is finishing her degree, and I'll be retired by 50. But, you do you.

@@dimase86 I am the furthest thing from miserable. It's funny how similar our stories are. Yet you for some reason think that you could not have done it with a family, and I know that it can be done. Like I said, it's nice to not be alone in the world, with nothing but superficial relationships. It's good to have someone to share life's successes with and to help soften the blow of life's failures. I wasn't planning on getting into a back and forth, let's just say, it can be done both ways, college is a complete waste, marriage and a family is for some people and not for others. Bonus round: I usually tell people not to get married and have kids. I do realize that I won the proverbial wife lottery and very few men, especially with modern women, will do the same. Maybe it has something to do with my wife being a traditional Asian woman who was raised to respect vows and family.

Sorry, but this list just sucks. You only looked at population numbers, but are you ignoring things such as nature? Maine is so beautiful and there are so many exciting activities. Cities aren’t as fun, IMHO, as activities in the wilderness. I appreciate your effort, but your research is just really lackluster and doesn’t factor a lot of things. Obviously, for young people, living in a place like North Dakota is lame, but I would love to take a trip there to whitewater raft, horseback, hike. I honestly don’t understand why marriage or old age matters so much, when there’s so much natural beauty.

Felix Zhang I totally agree and just wrote something similar about Maine XD I recently traveled to California for work (cause the job market for illustration in Maine is low) and while driving stopped in Arkansas. It was small and full of wildlife like Maine but had much less to do... I did enjoy the lakes though up near Hot Springs, Arkansas... very beautiful
