Property taxes in Texas are very high through. And tx is growing because the Governor recruits large corporation with tax incentives. TX used to be good for business but it's not so much for individuals. So much so that we are moving to another state. It's a terrible place to retire. I've been around and lived in 7 different states. Texas is my least favorite. Too much growth out stripping the tax and infrastructure base.

This place looks really nice! I wouldn't wanna rock the suburb life, and yeah these houses look a bit cheap, but to be fair they'd be perfect for someone trying to live the peaceful, suburb life but might not have the income to afford a giant stone house. My perfect living situation would be in a mixed zoning complex, like a shopping mall where the first few floors are stores while the top are insulated, quite apartments. Especially of some of those shops include he necessities like a pharmacy and grocery store so all I'd need to do to go shopping is just take my cart and go. No car or any other transport (other than an elevator) needed! Thank you for the upload, Nick! I will say that I worked in Leavenworth 50 yrs ago and have worked with some family members of the guys in the Fort Leavenworth Federal Prison!
