She did come second in the public vote though, it’s not like she was way way down. Finland was obviously the people’s favourite but if they couldn’t win, Sweden was the people’s next choice so I’m really happy with the result!!

Italy is now one of the strongest countries in Eurovision, so it’s really a pity we couldn’t host a good ESC. I watched many reportages about the organization and I saw a lot of amazing stuff we could not show Europe due to technical issues, such as led effects and lights effects on the sun. ESC 2022 had potential to be among the best in history :( but they messed up with it, because too many things were put all together and the project was a bit too ambitious, while experience was still too little ( some nations hosted modern style ESC 5 times, we hosted 1). The UK made a very simples ESC and that’s the best way to host. That makes me kinda sad. ESC 2022 our first modern organization, I’m sure next one we host will be wonderful, since our technicians and creatives are actually the top, we just need a more realistic project and hosts who don’t feel too much pressure and end up exaggerating with “funny moments”.

We Ukrainians were delighted with this song and sent the best ones to the competition. “Stefania” reveals the incredible passion of Ukrainian music from the Carpathian region. This is beautiful, mesmerizing music. Moreover, the musical instruments and costumes gave an authentic atmosphere. We believe that we fought for victory honestly, and not out of pity.

Just realized: how come they never actually performed "Zitti e buoni" at Eurovision the year after Måneskin won? It was really weird that they never even played it besides a snippet during a montage about Sanremo.

@@prisonmike7179 I thought that'd be what they'd use the Rockin' 1000 for - nope. I thought that would be maybe part of the opening of the final - nope. I thought maybe Måneskin would perform it during their interval act - NOPE. Even when they were promoting the final during the semi-finals, they used a soundalike instrumental. I'm like, "Was there some kind of rights issue? IT WON EUROVISION! They should be able to play it AT EUROVISION!"

No, back then all so similar songs were winning again and again. From Latvia 2002 to Greece 2005 the same song was winning again and again (deservedly so though)
