We got invited to fish the 7th annual Grand Caribe Deep sea Classic out of San Pedro Island, Belize. This was a 2 day tournament with over $125k in cash and prizes. The tournament was based on a point system with different species being worth different amounts. Blue Marlin are worth the most amount of points in this tournament, so most boats spend their time trolling for these deep sea giants.
The country of Belize is beautiful with crystal clear water, abundant flats and the second largest barrier reef system in the world. We got to dive at the famous sandbar with stingrays and nurse sharks after the tourney was over. We will certainly be back to fish and dive this amazing country.

What an exciting episode. Fishing is great,fishing in tournaments is thrilling, winning in tournaments beats everything. Catching blue marlins is 95% boredom and 5% sheer blood pounding adrenaline pumping excitement. Great job Viktor!

Great thing about this channel is your so positive and when successful you are sharing that success with your team. ThT really is what it is all about, Then you have Brooke adding to your channel even though she has her own channel it you can feel you two are a true team. Congratulations to your whole team. We all know it’s an entire team effort fishing for those particular badass fish. Shame about the misinterpretation of the rules. Hopefully Brooke doesn’t remind you too often of that little mishap😂. Kinda surprised the boat owner and Captain weren’t aware of the details. That 1st place check would’ve come in handy for sure but hey, it’s only money! The consolation was the experience was priceless…definitely want to see you guys in that again next year(and any other tournaments similar to that one).

I love bill fishing! Been lucky enough to fish in Cabo San Lucas a dozen times in my life so far and caught over 15 marlin. My biggest an Estimated 500lb Black Marlin. Tagged a released. It was over 12 feet long, 3 hours in the chair fighting that monster. Congrats on the Bills

i havent seen a blue that small before. i had wondered where those could be caught. i know australia gets those runs of 50-70lb black marlin but had never heard of people catching blues in that weight class.

If you dont already, push out some of the guts from the balihoo. You can also use steel leader to wrap the nose and add a small egg weight under the chin to help it sit straight in the water. Ive never used it on a squid though, I usually run a main hook behind head and a stinger in the back.

Such a beautiful fishing destination! When I was a youngster, my father caught a blue Marlin . He had it stuffed and it hung on the wall for many years. I prefer the catch and release method for these beautiful fish!
