Did you know the $100,000 MSRP 1996 Toyota Century ALSO followed the gentlemen's agreement of the 90s and capped its horsepower output to 276hp which is the same as the Mitsubishi Evo, Subaru WRX STI, and Nissan 300ZX? This is also the engine that was features in smokey nagata's V12 Twin Turbo Supra! Follow for more daily content here - bit.ly/3kXgWr0

Yeah, it's probably more common than not. A lot of these ultra luxury exotics or supers are barely driven. Most of the time they are prized or just weekend cars. Owner drives it for a few miles on the weekend, after a couple months to years, they just upgrade. Not very often people buy those cars to drive the shit out of.

I had a V8 Toyota Soarer, which in another guise was a Lexus SC400. It had an aluminium block 4 litre V8 which was bulletproof, it had 4 adjustable airbags for the suspension, full leather, electric seats and everything, a colour touch screen which controlled everything from the stereo, aircon, ride height, and more. For a 2 ton car, it was 𝘧𝘢𝘴𝘵! All this in a car from 1991! Nothing else came close, most cars were barely getting pokey LCD displays for not much at all.
