I bought this about a month ago and been using it for running since then. It's been great; the built and design, the sound, it just what I need. Wow, the ambient noise function makes a huge difference. I’m thinking of these as my next running earbuds so that will be great for taking calls.

Hey, how's the call quality and are there any latency issues while media watching?

@@elitepunch1498 Call quality is okay. Not the best especially in noise cancelling department, but good enough. As for latency, I have only tested with Bluetooth 4.0 devices so far. The latency is there, but not to the point of bothersome for me.

Hey Sean! In the video you mentioned that there's no CVC noise cancellation in TS2, but I believe that I saw their specs on their official website saying that it has CVC technology in it? Hmm.. It's good seeing Tech reviewer from Malaysia cause I've always wanted to be one too! I'm from Malaysia too BTW. Thumbs up and keep it up!

Thanks for supporting the channel! 😄 i suspect they rectified their website, i remember seeing it also. However, cVc is Qualcomm’s technology and you'll get cVc if it's running one of Qualcomm’s chipset like the 3020. So the TS2 definitely doesn't have since it doesn't run a qualcomm chipset. 😄 hope that explains.

Just ordered these for work. I have a 3 year old Soundpeats wireless (with wire still from earbud to earbud) and while not the best for music - they still have 6 hour battery life all these years later. For a cheap headphone Soundpeats are a good company.

Hi there, currently I’m using tronsmart spunky beat as my daily driver but somehow I think it hav problem wit connecting with apple product especially on Apple TV which I’m not happy with it. I’m looking for 2nd option which already narrow down to this or the True engine SE. I know that u mention many times that the SE bass really heavy and vocal muffle, hence would like to know between those 2 which 1 is better than spunky beat? I’m using both android n Apple btw and I’m more into all kind of music genre.

Hey there! I would recommend you going with the Trueshift 2 instead. It has sufficient bass and clarity is there. Only downside is that the call quality is not as good as other tws(not horrible but not the best) , but if you're not using it too much for calls, it is a pretty good choice :D

Hi I listen to classical music (Mozart Beethoven types), watch Netflix and make calls (1) Both Trueshift 2 and trueengine 3 se are approximately the same price here in Dubai (44 USD). Which would you recommend ? (2) Also is H1 Premium version with voice activated functions a better deal to wait for a public release (hoping they do) or order on Kickstarter ?

Hi, a nice review which I have been waiting for, thumbs up.. I was so close to purchasing these but hesitated due to ongoing reviews with other products/brands etc.. it’s a mind field out there! I am now in the mindset of purchasing the Lypertek TEVI, but I am slightly turned off by the potential lack of sub bass! If this something the Lypertek struggle to reproduce, could you suggest a set of earbuds that might offer a similar sound signature of the Lypertek TEVI but with more sub bass?? Please.. I have in mind the Cambridge audio Melomania 1 also.. I look forward to your reply, Thank you!

Hey there! The Tevi really does lack in the bass department. I would say if you prefer a subwoofer like bass punch in your music, check out the Edifier TWS NB. Im dropping a video on that soon. They have noise cancelling and they do a superb job in reproducing bass without messing up everything else. Very impressive. And where i live, the Tevi and the Edifier NB are priced very similarly.

Hey there Jay, thanks for stopping by! I would advise to go with the TS2 as so far it is the best sounding Soundpeats model. The SE and the Truengine 2 are both very bassy earphones which unfortunately drowns out a lot of the clarity. 😄

Hi, really liked your review. I live in UAE and have a limitation to find purchasing options for budget earbuds from US. I am down to deciding between a last few. What would you recommend between a Votomy V22, Soundpeats Trueshift 2 and Boltune Bh024 (I want a balanced sound stage/EQ and good battery life). Also, since trueshift 2 is quite easily available in my location and I know it is quite bass heavy, can I use an app to control/improve the EQ output from trueshift 2? Thanks

I would like to know from anyone who have these earbuds how is the ear feel? Does this earbud cause ear fatigue and if so how long can these be worn comfortably? Also, I want to know do they saty in the ear if I am doing some sports activity like rollerblading, weight training, or running? Looking at the Soundpeats Trueshift 2 or Fiil TX1. Thx

Hey there, definitely good for activities, it stays on quite well. However, it does give me ear fatigue, 2 hours is my max and it starts to hurt. However, depending on your ears, ear fatigue can be quite subjective.the 😄

Am buying these a year later lol. Cause I had Jabra elite 75t which kept calling while jogging then I bought Bose sound sport and they also kept calling. After wasting money and thinking being a base head this is the best option for me as it's got wing tips. Ppl will say so does Bose but they are huge and heavy. I wish and hope these are in ear types with wing tips and will suit my need. Couldn't find anything else and don't have the money also now lol 😉

Hi Sean! This was very informative. I wonder if this is a better choice than the Sabbat E12 ultras, tronsmart onyx neo and the jabees firefly 2, especially if you want a balanced sound and good mic?

Hey there. Thanks. I would say the E12 Ultras is one that meets your criteria. Soundpeats trueshift 2 is great, but suffers in terms of call quality a lil. 😄

Hi Sean, I picked up the Trueshift 2 based on your review and am enjoying them. New to TWS earbuds I was hoping you could review the Aiwa Prodigy Air. Aiwa was a big player in the 80’s and 90’s and are making a comeback. Would appreciate your review and thoughts if time permits. Thanks for the great reviews!

Hey bro. This depends on the type of music you listen to. These 2 earphones sound super different. The Truengine 2 is very good for bass heavy EDM type of music woth very little vocals, the Truengine 2 is very muffled in terms of clarity. The Trueshift 2 is a very balanced earbuds with good bass as well, suitable for music with vocals and when you need clarity. However, only downside is the trueshift doesn't support aptX codec, meaning there is very very slight latency when watching videos, but this is not noticeable most of the time. If you use it for gaming, then Trueshift 2 may post minor latency concerns. 😄

I read your comment says truengine has better sound and stronger bass. But I still don't know. Is it worth it to buy another pair of truengine se when already owned true shift 2

Hi there. Thanks for checking out my videos. Yea the SE is very bassy, however it suits certain music genre better for exp EDM or Electronic. Anything with less vocals, SE is suitable, when there is vocal, SE sounds very muffled. And that's where the Trueshift 2 shines cuz its balanced, has sufficient bass and vocals are still clear. 😄

Hey there. I haven't tried the liberty neo before, but i hear some mentioned connectivity issues with these earbuds. So maybe something to consider. The trueshift 2 is ok overall, good sound, good connectivity, massive battery, only downside is the call quality. 😄

Hey there Joon Leong, i would say both goes loud cuz they have independent volume controls to the earbuds, so you can max out the earbuds, then max out ur phone and it gets loud. Haha then the question is what type of sound signature you like. The TE2 is a very very bassy earbuds, great for bass heads. The TS2 is very balance, bass is good and the clarity is superb. So yea that's mostly what you need to consider.

Hey man. Personally i much prefer the Trueshift 2 because of the overall more balanced sound quality and the battery life. Truengine SE is overly bassy for my liking.

Hola! Thanks for dropping by. I would recommend the Tronsmart Onyx Ace if you want good call quality. But that is Airpods Style. True free 2 fits a big better, the trueshift 2 is very comfortable, but for a short time, for me at least, you'll get ear fatigue in about 2 hours time.

Hey there, it happened to me to. So what i did was a factory reset and it went back to normal. Check out the manual, it should teach you how to factory reset. All the best 😄

Trueshift 2, truengine SE or trueengine 2? Which one do u recommend in term of SQ and low latency? Thanks bro.

For calls, go with either the Truengine se or truengine2, those are better for calls. SQ wise, all 3 have good bass, with the exception that Trueshift 2 has better clarity, the SE and TE2 has very bassy sound profile that kinda overpowers the clarity, better suited for EDM or electronic musics. Latency wise, for videos, they're all pretty good, no noticeable delays. But for gaming, all of them still lags. 😀

I’m very confused. Which one to choose either truengine se or trueshift 2. Is it truengine se too bassy or the bass is just a bit more than trueshift? What about the sound quality for both for example (concert, orchestra) Well I’m a bass head 😌

Hey there brother. The SE is very bassy in a sense that its 70% bassy and 30% Clarity. Its those really deep bass that i think suits the dubstep or EDM community very well. This also applies to the Truengine 2. The Trueshift 2 on the other hand, is about 50% bass and 50% clarity. Meaning its very balance, you still get that woofer effect plus the highs a little like your speakers have tweeters. So its good if you listen to anything with vocals, concerts...etc. hope this helps bro.

Got these on July 1st and the case is still on 4 bars on July 25th. I kid you not. Some might be put off by the bulkiness, but you hardly ever have to charge it

I’ve gone through 2 sets of >$50 headphones in the last 2 months and I haven’t been happy with either. Would you recommend these over the rest in this price range for my daily driver headphones? For context, I’m not an audiophile but i wear headphones all day everyday. AirPods and powerbeats pro both hurt my ears but this style tends to work.

Hey there. These are really great earphones for your daily drivers. But take note if you're a girl, these earbuds are pretty big and might not fit in your ears all that well. Try checking out either the Tronsmart Spunky Beat,Haylou GT1 Plus or the mpow m5. Those are smaller sized earbuds and would fit better for ladies. 😄 plus they all have pretty awesome specs.

Hey there. I would go with the trueshift 2, i think it holds up in the ears better because of the wings. Yes. The led goes off when no media is playing 😄

I got this earphone yesterday and the battery case weight is only 110 g, not 185 g. The whole package itself with everything else is 185 g. could u confirm this? Because I have a concern about the battery life that could be smaller. Thanks in advance.

Truengine 3 SE would be the better choice. Has the latest. Bells and whistles. If you want something better, i would suggest the Tronsmart Apollo Bold, which comes with decent ANC, and helps you cuts out the music in the gym and focus on your music. How's the clarity on this one and how does it compare to the TruEngine SE?

Hey there, they are very different sounding earbuds, so depending on what you listen to, it'll determine which is best. The SE is very bassy, good for EDM and electronic music with little vocals, vocals on these are quite muffled. The TrueShift 2 on the other hand is balanced, good mix of bass and clarity, good for all types of music.

@@paulgochoa i think they're pretty similar. Not audiophile grade. Depending on your source, you can tell directions of music. It doesn't feel all mushy together but not extremely wide. Hope that explains. 😄

Got these and hell of connectivity issues. Whenever taken out from case for use left bud constantly keep on loosing connection with right one(6 out of 10 times). I had to each time unpair and reset. Any suggestions?

Try to get a warranty claim if you can bro. Connectivity on these should be very stable. Before you do that, try it on another device to see if it persists. If it does then it's probably a defect. Good luck 👍

Hey there, sound quality wise, trueshift2 is a little more bassier than the X3. The X3 has good enough bass I would say. But in terms of call quality the X3 wins hands down.

Hey the Tronsmart is a different breed of earbuds. The difference in call quality to the x3 is slightly better, but you lose out the sound quality of the X3. The Tronsmart is very good sounding for an AirPods style earbuds, but cannot compete with the X3.

Hey there. In terms of on paper latency, the SE is better because of the aptX codec. But in practice. They are almost the same and you can't quite tell while watching youtube or netflix. It comes down to what type of sound profile you like, the SE has a very bassy sound signature and very overpowering at times, if you like bass, this is for you. The TS2 is very balanced, have great bass, but also great clarity. Plus TS2 have a massive battery capacity. Haha i would personally recommend the TS2 😄

Coming from the Haylou GT1 plus, i could definitely attest to the sound quality of the Haylou. Calls are decent, not the best, but comparing it to the trueshift 2, its a lot better. TS2 is not the best for calls. 😄

Hey Sean..great video btw! I’m looking for 2nd pair of TWS, hope to have some insight from you. Currently using Redmi Airdots - i prefer balance sound signature. Definitely not bass head. With similar budget of Trueshift 2, which TWS would you recommend? On top my head I’ve some list Truengine SE Trueshift 2 Mpow M5 Edifier TWS1 Haylou GT1 plus Or perhaps you’ve better? Thanks man!

Hey man. Thanks for checking out my video. I would say your best bet for a balanced earphones would be the Trueshift 2, haylou GT1 Plus as well as the QCY T2C. These are the few earphones with decent price, that I really enjoyed over all my reviews. Personal fav budget earbuds is the Trueshift 2. 😄

Hello, yup, in my opinion they are way better. Sound signature overall is much fuller and sound a lot better, plus point for the mpow is the size is smaller and fits most ears better. Trueshifts 2 are a little bit bulkier.

Hey there. For long hours wearing, the TS2 is not the most comfortable, personally i go about 1-2 hours and I start to get ear fatigue. I believe its the size and lack of support.

Hey there bro. Thanks for dropping by. I wouldn't suggest using it for gaming, as even with phones with bluetooth 5 support there is still a small small lag. In terms of pc,you then have to see what bluetooth profile does your pc support, if its 4.2, it'll be even worst. 😃

Hey there, overall, sound quality for me using an android phone as well, is really quite good for the TS2. No complaints there. Latency also holds up surprisingly well even without aptX. Overall pretty good earphones.

Hey there, I would say Trueshift2 fits me better. Especially if you wear glasses, the truewings are kind of "in the way" and its really jot that comfortable. Both sounds good, but the better soundkng one is the Trueshift 2

They actually do get loud. They have volume controls on the earbuds, so u can tap once on the right side and it will slowly go up. Max out the earbuds, then go up more on ur phone. It should go loud 😄

My experience is this, if you're a bass head and listen to mostly EDM, Dubstep, House...etc. that sort of Genre with very little vocals, then the Truengine SE and Truengine 2 is your friend. If you want clarity for good vocals and also great bass performance, then the TreuShift 2 is for you 😄

Yup, any type C charger would work, but i doubt it'll make any difference in making it faster. The plus point is the battery last so long, you'll probably only charge them once a month.

Comparing the both, definitely soundpeats. But where it lacks is the call quality and lack of gaming mode. Maybe give the Truengine 3SE a try, or if you can wait, the Soundpeats H1. 😄🔥

Personally I'll go with the Trueshift 2, cuz it fits me super well and its comfy. Bass wise, it's punchy and nice so no complaints there, plus bigger battery case means less charging 😄

Hey Rodney, i would go with the Trueshift as its my current favourite, the sound quality is just the right mixture of bass and clarity. The SE is a little too bassy for my liking. But if you're looking for a budget pair, the GT1 plus is actually quite decent, since its almost 2.5x cheaper than the trueshift 2. Hope that helps

Hi there, tough one, haha personally I'll go with the trueshift 2 because of the great build quality and awesome battery. However, in this case the Sabbat have that aptX codec, which means watching videos there will be almost no latency. The trueshift 2 still has a little delay. But I'm not very happy with the build quality of the Sabbat. So yea, tough choice there. Ooh ya. If you're using iphone, go with the trueshift 2. Cuz iphones don't support aptX, so it'll revert to AACs anyways. 😄

In my experience, the truengine, and specifically the newer truengine 3 se. The trueshift is great but kinda suffers abit in call quality. 😄

Hey there, I've not tried it on an iphone but I've worked with it on an ipad and it works perfectly. The Truengine SE should work. As long as there is bluetooth, it should connect with no problems.

I personally love the trueshift 2 😄 better. The bass is superb. I've personally not tested the Truefree plus, but it seems to be build on the same platform as the QCY T2C. 😄

For those who experienced the left or right earbud not turned on or unpaired right after lifting out of the box. Try pressing the earbud that is not working for 3 seconds and it will be turned on and pair automatically. :)

Hey there. The difference between the 2 is mainly the sound signature. SE is very bassy, suitable for EDM and electronic music with little vocals. If you want balanced and good clarity, then TrueShift 2 is your best bet.
