Yes "Johnny Fontaine" was something of a stand-in for the mobbed-up Frank Sinatra. The timeline wasn't the same but the character was clear enough and Puzo and Coppola did their book and movies in Sinatra's time. Kindly don't think that the vast majority of Italians have had anything to do with the less-than-1% Mafia. We still get hit with it. Tell someone the grandmother who raised you was Italian and you just might get "Oh! Was any of your family in the Mafia!?" as a response 😡😾 I appreciate your appreciation of chivalry! 👍 What church is that on your t-shirt it looks like one of those ancient churches in Rome.

I could totally see where he could be perceived that way! I personally take it as him being a gentleman😊. *specifically when he’s talking to people like Murphy. He does ogle women a little too much sometimes.
