When you pull dents, try starting at the shallowest section of the dent and then work towards the worst part of the dent - you will have more success and less work. Of course after you uncrinkle the really bad part, you have to heat and quench the metal to shrink it back to where it was b it got stretched out of place. Hope it helps next time.

I'm currently putting the finishing touches on my first "rat rod "...It really has been a really cool and fun project. I recommend that every gearhead do one at least once in their life...not sweating perfection and good enough is good enough. I like this paint job better 👍

I love the paint job! You nailed it! Have to say it has a sort of A-Team look. I guess you could say it’s a Mopar Interceptor Mad Max would be very proud of! Now drive it through a mobile home!

Love the paint job.....Don't ever think because that car isn't a roadrunner that its not worth anything. Those Mopars are still very popular, and people still pay big bucks for them. I love the direction you are taking the car. Its not a rat rod, but its sweet. I got a huge kick out of your comment where you said you like a car all original.

Brian, the ratrod is looking good 👍, and definitely even a "fake" supercharger that you can use as an air filter would look awesome too, and be cheaper on the pocket. I spray bombed my '72 Malibu with Duplicolor cans , I did the tip of the nose white, and faded it into the brightest red. Then faded the red paint each shade darker until I got to the trunk, and went from a black cherry to a black metallic. And of course, on the trunk written in white letters was, "Fade to black", a tribute to Metallica!!!

LunarOutlaw’s Garage The paint job really makes it look like a true Mopar muscle car. All the mighty 318 needs is a classic Chrysler gear-reduction starter & a set of good throaty Flowmasterd, & you’re all set. This car will be badass!! I can’t wait to see it all finished.

LunarOutlaw’s Garage I’ve been following this project from the start since I’m a fan of Mopars. I myself hope to get a 1969 Dodge Charger that I will turn into a General Lee & of course it will have a gear-reduction starter as I hate & refuse to use new mini starters in a classic Chrysler product. As for a new floor, you definitely need that. Are you going to keep the column shift for the automatic transmission or are you going with a a floor shifter?

For now I’m gonna stick with the column shift. if I change it down the road it’s going to be going over to a manual transmission. 🤘

I liked it at the beginning of the vid- sand down the red primer & clear coat it.youre leaving the rat rod to more of a hot rod look. You COULD do the acetylene trick (with the smoke) on the red paint. It’s really sharp! FYI get a lunchbox locker for the rear. If the Caddy is a survivor, don’t do anything drastic to it.

The super charger on the mad max car was a fake , so maybe just go that route. It will look cool and be an awfull lot cheaper to get the look your looking for.

Can't put a blower on that n/a 318, for that you should begin with a low compression smog motor, do the ring gaps right and then just cram boost through that.

What about a tunnel ram+Bug catcher+nitrous instead of a supercharger? You get a healthier engine with more longevity and plenty of power when you need it. It's also cheaper and just as cool.

I like version 2.0 way way better then 1.0... it’s just much “cleaner” looking If that makes sense. Dark tint the windows (well as dark as NY will let you).

She looks freaking Wicked lunar love it to death as far as the rear end goes if you want the tires to lock up not be a one-wheel tire freyer get Jegs catalog and they have UConn name brand limited slips for 250 I bought mine for 500 back before the price went down it's handled my 500 horsepower 400 with over 520 foot pounds torque

Hello from Forest Grove Oregon. Why bother with a "Hollywood" paint job? Just spray it and proceed to drive it down every gravel and dirt road in your county like you stole it. Makes for great patina and fun.

On line you can get a rebuilt roots style blower for your 318 for 180.00 site has 95% positive feedback. Sorry I dont remember the sites name. However, i did my search yesterday 8/21/20

If you must use a spray can put it in warm water to get the paint flowing better. You need to get a better quality camera for your videos, whatever you're using is fine at distance but goes very grainy when you try to focus on close up shots.

That is great advice about the warm water. I am using a GoPro 7black, so nothing crazy. I would like to get a few really nice cameras but it is not in the budget. 🤞someday

@@LunarOutlawsGarage You'll be amazed how good the video quality of a Canon or Panasonic point & shoot budget camera for $200-300. It's all about the lens which is where GoPro's fall short.

@@LunarOutlawsGarage Mad Max & The Road Warrior, I think were the best of them all! Didn't care to much for the one with Tina Turner but the newer one was an okay movie. Get ya a set up like they did on the Interceptor car, it's just a motor that spins the supercharger when ya flip a switch. Maybe a floor shifter that looks like a 4 speed (I had one in one of my cars) & put the switch on it, just like the movie car.😊
