I started with Logitech in 2005. Then thrust master. Then first dd wheel was the dd 1. Waiting on csDD plus. I hope Logitech improves because i started off with Logitech wheel in 2005

I wish there was some kind of QR adaptor available for the G Pro that would fool the base into thinking a wheel is attached and allow me to mount a USB wheel like a Simagic GT Neo to it.

Main reason I didn't get the Logitech DD was price and lack of ecosystem. Logitech should be embarrassed that it's a 3rd party that's going to add the first additional rim! Anyway great news for the G Pro owners!

Actually the price is spot on for the quality of ffb you get with the wheel. Ive tried top tier wheels like simcube and many others and hands down logitech g pro is 2nd to none. I will agree with your statement of no ecosystem though for sure.

Great news. I’m a console guy. Got this rig to play gt7 VR and Forza. I got the PS base, so hopefully this 3D Wrap solution will allow me to play on Xbox.

I’ve been waiting for this for over a year. Thank god someone else has been able to figure this out . Unfortunately I feel like sim racers are just not high priority when it comes to Logitech

Ps5 compatability is in the base, xbox is in the wheel. So if you had a ps5 base and an xbox wheel (impossible from Logitech as they dont sell separately) then you will be able to use the one setup on both consoles.

It's my understanding that the PS compatability chip is in the wheelbase and Xbox chip in the wheel itself, that's how it is with other brands like Fanatec for example.

For such a good direct drive, logitech should have been all over wheel releases. It's strange they haven't. I suspect they will refresh the pro dd line with a new wheel, but it will be backwards compatible with the qr system so they can capitalise on the earlier model. I would love a gt wheel soon, my wrists are good but my thumbs are dying haha 😂😂

I have a feeling Logitech G Pro sales are either behind expectation, or the rise in cost of production and shipping may have eaten into their expected profit margin, leading to the expansion of their ecosystem (additional rims and a new shifter and handbrake) being delayed or put on on hold indefinitely. It’s a bit of a chicken and the egg situation, as Logitech needs an expanded G Pro ecosystem to become more interesting for a larger group of potential buyers. Glad to see 3rd Party makers stepping into the void, though.

Absolutely logitech is gonna hesitate plenty to put out an addon to a product not many people want. The g pro is for the person who just likes logitech and wants something that just works, But a dd wheel is for someone who really likes sim racing and usually someone that passionate will look to much better options that theyll find with minimal research. 1k for wheelbase and basic ass wheel gets you asetek, simagic, simcube, moza hell, even turtle beach is coming out with a less powerful wheel at 600 for a full kit. The g pro is neither an entry level dd for a steal of a price, a respectably priced mid ranger, nor a top end that deserves a price premium. Its just mediocre and there are plenty better options. Maybe if the pedals were included in that 1000 price it'd be worth considering, but it just isn't a great choice as it stands

@@kektaro I couldn't have said it any better! I can't believe they expect us to use the same crappy H shifter from decades ago on a DD wheelbase. Logitech are totally missing out on a huge market that's exploding with better and cheaper DD options. Even Cammus now has a cheap 12 NM wheelbase with the C5 design. Logitech are jokers!

@@DarrenMartin-bw8zi DD wheels with that price is already for a small audience. H shifter is for an even smaller audience, since its slower then the sequentials on the wheel, ergo less competitive. Totally understandig that, the new shifter is not prio 1 for them.

Logitech have confirmed ps chip is in the base and xbox in the wheel unfortunately i cannot link to the source. Given MVH have confirmed they are likely to source QRs from Logitech i wonder if announcement on additional equipment is due soon from logirech. This hive of sudden activity serms to suggest something is up.

@@SimRacingCornerKZfaqr geekstreet demonstrates the above point in his latest revisit of the base. He has both variants of the base (Xbox and PlayStation) and at around 7mins 30 in his video he swaps the wheels to show what happens

In my opinion company which is doing so many things like logitech and how small is sim racing market this will never be the "go to" equipment. Companies like Moza or Simagic etc will always be on top of them because of pure reason their interest is purely in sim racing market

LOGITECH YOUR FIRMWARE or G HUB software (recent updates) has broken force feedback in F1 2021 on PC. Was working like a year ago using PRO wheel, compatibility mode in F1 2021 PC. But now the FFB is missing or inverted in compatibility mode, F1 2021 PC. PLEASE FIX THIS, Anyone else having this problem in F1 2021 with Logitech PRO wheel??

I literally notified Logitech of Fanatec's self destruction back at black Friday and stated that this is the perfect time to capitalise on a new wheel to sway more customers into their eco system. I can't believe they chose to not act upon the huge pay day gift more swiftly. I notified Fanatec the previous year about a haptic brake pedal to realistically feel ABS judder, but they chose to ignore that too in true Fanatec style and got pipped to the post by another competitor. Will a wheelbase company just hire me ffs please. 😂 I want what's best for the consumer.
