You can say it is “rehearsed by chance” - when she realised that she was able to trust him then he took the lead to assure her safety, then them both felt (or knew) the song pattern… the communication between them is minimal, perhaps through a small smile! The moves can be done by anyone, but not this smooth 😮 - for them to reach this stage it rakes so much dedication. Absolutely amazing!!!

@Upndouin pretty much this! No rehearsal just trust. Everything is led and followed using feelings of tension and compression where we are connected, usually in the hand, and the follow slightly delays all of their movements so that the communication pathway is there. :)

@mimomeep6091 it was our first time doing a spotlight (meaning just two people dancing in front of the entire crowd) so we were nervous. We were only “intermediate” dancers when this video was filmed, so it was rare that we were given spotlights in competition.

Could be a different style of dance that isn’t lead/follow. But we do often prefer to say lead and follow rather than leader and follower in WCS.

If this is truly improv, I’m insanely impressed right now. As a former dance student, I could never do improv. I never understood how some people could just come up with a dance that looks so good on the SPOT. I learned how difficult improvisation is and can say you guys have true talent.

I danced Balfolk in europe, the basic steps are learned, just to give a base, after that it is all improvisation. And some partners just click and give you such a huge scope of moves.

There are people that train to BECOME Dancers; then there are people that were BORN to be Dancers. THEY are Natural Dancers. That's when you can easily FEEL the vibe and have that Natural rhythm!

If I remember well, it was the first time both of them did a "spotlight" (alone on the dance floor with hundreds of people watching), so they were super nervous, which is understandable. 😄 But hey, they still managed to win... And about what's going through their heads, my favourite videos are where Keerigan puts captions describing his thought process during the dance, I find it fascinating. And when you have the other partner's point of view, that's even better! 😊

I LOVE it!! In the beginning she's nervous n off beat. He guides her tho n dominates just enough so that she feels that good n strong vibe n she LOVES it!(it's when she gives that lil smile) it gave her confidence to add her vibe n mesh it well n she did just that!! She understood the assignment n he let her shine making them literally just spark on the dancefloor. It wasn't fake or forced. It was natural n simply amazing!! ❤🎉 Crazy how 2 intermediate dancers can become 1 amazing unbeatable team when paired together!!
