NASCAR, in terms of motorsport, is up there with the best of them. It is one of the most popular sporting events in the world as it attractive to truly broad audience. The drivers are very approachable and fans can relate to them, and this proven with hundreds of thousands of fans coming to see who will end up in the Sprint Cup. In fact, this type of racing is the fastest growing sport in the USA, in terms of popularity. And is one of the reasons why we see prominent sponsorship deals with global brands such as PartyCasino who sponsored the NASCAR 125 event.
Therefore, it would come as no surprise that many fans have their special memories and opinions on drivers and cars who have stood out from the rest to make the sport even more special.
Since the debut of the Strictly Stock division in 1948, the cars turning laps at the highest level have undergone numerous changes since first taking to the beach at Daytona. Moving away from showroom models to a specifically constructed high-tech platform, two things have remained consistent: Win on Sunday and sell on Monday.

Despite being known for their "turning left", Nascar as a race is more complicated than that because there is drafting and all kind of ways the driver need to position their car to gain more speed to be faster than their rivals who are usually almost equal in terms of their speed. I never grown up watching Nascar since i'm not from the U.S but when i was a kid, Nascar racing is pretty much my first racing game along with WRC. I used to play it on PS1 but didnt know how complicated a single race can be until years later when i got my PS2. In PS2 the new Nascar games are more detailed on their gameplay mechanics, thats how i learned drafting (slipstream) was a thing.

That is correct, cause the following year, JGR switched back to Chevy cause when they started in 1992, they were associated with Hendrick and ran Chevys. JGR didn't switch to Toyota until the late 2000's

For 1971, NASCAR required manufacturers to build one car for every two dealerships under its brand. Unfortunately, the Plymouth Superbird was not very well received in the market (another reason the brand was reluctant to carry on with the Superbird beyond its first year). Real talk

Thought most of the time Dodge participated in in Nascar you could actually order the same engine in your car at the dealership that was in the race car. Long live the 426 Hemi.
