Who ever suggested that method was very smart. At first, I thought he was going to do the angles the opposite way so they fell down easier then I went “a-ha!” Much safer.

Also, Nick was smart to not make the angles extreme so not to make the saw work harder than necessary.

It's a very good thing that the roof was in good shape. If it had been leaking, the dirt in those floors would have turned to mud and brought down the rotten joists long ago. Good job boys! 🍻
@Ragnar85043 ай бұрын
Yeah, we had to repair part of a ceiling after a leak (apparently some numpty disconnected the kitchen sink without properly turning the water off and left for the weekend, while all the tenants below were away on holiday) and when we had some big water damage the whole fill in one floor had to be removed because it would have been impossible to dry out otherwise. It's decent sound deadening but if it ever gets wet it holds water like a sponge.

Ryan - what is the chance of you filming a short 5 minute video showing what the flat looks like once the joists are mostly removed and the rubble is gone. Give us ‘armchair architects’ a better sense of how the empty shell looks as well and where remaining things (staircase / doors / windows / etc) are. I still feel it would be awesome to incorporate an outside terrace balcony on low that roof off to the right. That would in essence give you additional square footage of usable ‘living space’ you can up your selling price of unit. Also if there is a way to have a small section off to the left where when you walk in the front door you can look right up and see the very top of the ceiling where the roof beams are… that would be absolutely amazingly bad ass cool … like a 4ft x 6 ft opening right up for floor level 1 all the way up to the tippity top with maybe a skylight put in
