1-the competition model does not have bigger turbos 2-The carbon roof has nothing to do with the carbon package as it is a no charge extra on every M3/M4 3-The standard seats are « Not » 3k extra 4- this is the only video that I have seen where the 0-60 time is the same or almost as the rear wheel drive model. 5-the I4 M50 will definitely not be faster as carwow has already tested it to 60mph in 3.62 sec and xdrive M3 can hit 60 in 3.1 6-A model 3 performance Will not smoke an M3 xdrive off the line if it’s properly launched. You really should do you’re research before saying whatever if you want to be regarded as a reputable car reviewer.

BMW ZF8Speed is lightning fast, on bar with best of DCTs. It's insane how good this Torque Converter trans is and it's more reliable than any DCT on the market as well. Amazing how fast ZF managed to level up recently.

You're not in Launch Control mode... There's a 0.3 to 0.4 sec improvement when you apply launch control versus just brake boosting like you did. These cars do 3.1x to 3.2x all day.

We’re only gonna have automatic/electric cars in the future. I feel like with this car, you gotta get the manual if 0-60 times aren’t your priority. Especially since it’s a good manual, and BMW’s pretty much eliminated manuals from their lineup. Great review!

I have a 2022 M3 xdrive. It will do 3.1 all day 0 to 60. You were not using launch control. In order to use launch control you need go drive 5 miles from cold start, transmission needs to on level 3 setting and you need to be in manual mode and in first gear.(Once you use launch control it will shift automatically) Once that's done, you put your left foot on the brake, right foot on the gas and it will literally say "Preparing launch control" at the bottom of the gauge cluster in white with a checkered race flag. I know you didn't use launch control because you attempted to launch back to back, which even if you use launch control, it has a reset distance of about half a mile before it will let you use it again.

Sofian, I like your other videos but as an owner of a '21 G80 M3, I see that you got everything wrong on this review. However, due to the overly complicated system in this car and the limited time you might have had with the car it is somewhat expected. 1. You didn't activate the launch control in either of the trials. Essentially you got consistent 3.5 times by break boosting. At 9:24 you can see from the guage cluster that the LC is not activated. It would tell you at the bottom. 2. The interior of the both cars, the base and the comp had the full leather package so there's no difference between them. The color was what gave you the sense of better quality. 3. The engine in both cars is the same exact hardware-wise. There's no difference in the turbo size, so I'd like to know where you got the bigger turbo set up from. 4. The M mode button does not change the engine, chassis, etc configuration, it only changes the nanny and the guage cluster configuration. For the performance stuff you have to use the "Set up" button. This review in my openion totally missed the mark.

Not sure why your 0-60 runs didn't work out...tire temps? A few owners have gotten 0-60 runs in the 2.9x range. Many have done 3.07 to 3.09. Your run on the manual was slower than what others are getting, too. Looks like you had a fun day, though!

Let the tires heat up before you launch it…maybe even let a few PSI out of the tires. You can get sub 3.5 secs 0-60 in this car.

If you hold it on the launch control and let it build boost for four seconds it will leave harder.

I'm glad he tested without launch control (unknowingly?) bc you get more of a real world (light to light) feel for how fast the car is. 3.5 without launch control is proper fast. of course it'll match the model 3 performance to 60 with launch control and beat it in the 1/4 but in real life while at the red light, you're probably not engaging launch control.

Even after those amazingly fast, brutal & consistent launches, you still manage to find ways to complain about the acceleration. Typical Sofyan review lol

The front headlight design really suck... The previous generation had a much more stylish design. Still can't get over the "beaver" teeth front grille. BMW has been like roller-coasting on it's exterior design, some generations really suck on design, and some really nailed it. Regarding the 0-60 times: he's not factoring in his reaction time. His timer counts down and says "Go!" But there's a lag between the time he perceives the "Go!" and presses the gas, which is probably a quarter of a second. So I think the car is as fast as BMW claims.

Honestly the 0-60 race is pretty much over. If you want the absolute fastest, then just get a Tesla. But as car enthusiasts we all know and crave more than just straight line performance. Glad to see these ugly M3's at least drive well and nothing a little aftermarket front bumper can't fix.

I love this. If I could, I would buy one tomorrow in that Isle of Man Green and Ivory white Merino leather. The F80 M3 was a very, very meh car compared to this and the E90 and was worse in my opinion than the C63. This looks like a return to the E90 era in terms of driving (despite the added length and weight) and being a more aggressive car. I personally like the new grille as it stands out and looks much more aggressive, whereas the F80 compared to the C63 looked meh. That being said I still would prefer the normal kidney's of the normal 3 Series. This, the 2 Series Coupé, the normal 3, 5, 8 Series, X3, X5 look and drive good in my opinion. Still doesn't excuse that abysmal excuse of a designer for his crimes against car design and humanity with the 2 Gran Coupé, 4, 7 Series, X4/X6, X7, i4 and his worst shitebox of them all, the biggest crime of them all... the brand new iX, oh wait I mean the brand new BMW XM. Very sad that BMW now have 2 of the worst looking cars ever. That designer doesn't wanna come near me...

These cars are absolute rockets. My brother had a 2003 Dodge Viper ACR with 460hp and it was stupid fast. These cars are much faster overall. Amazing.

This BMW really grew on me..... but BWM and German brands has a reputation of poor reliability and expensive maintenance. If i would get this car... it would only have to be a lease... ill get it just to have fun with it and experience and enjoy it for 2-3 year lease and return the keys, but i never would buy one to keep due to maintenance cost and poor reliability.

The chrome exhaust tips have nothing to do with the trim (base M3, M3 Comp., M3 Comp w. xDrive). You can get them chrome or blacked-out on all 3 models, but why would you get them blacked-out and how on earth do those look better when you can barely even see them? This is one of the only cars that offers a REAL, visible quad exhaust...unlike Audi, Mercedes and even Porsche - it's a crime to order this car with anything but visible chrome exhaust tips.

the Elantra N's exhaust outdoes everything in its segment and is also stumping on higher performance segments. what a pity🤭 the M3 is obviously faster but sound dramatically adds to the experience of driving that's why drivers of slow economy cars like civics and corollas usually modify their exhaust.
