@Demon__Killer0073 жыл бұрын
I'd say they made deking a lot more ineffective this year because this year everything gets poke checked and there is also nudging and incidental contact to deal with but these dekes work most of the time.

@@llamapenNHL all you need to be is tall and you just poke everything, even passes. You can send a full power pass and you're opponent will poke it.
@rf26423 жыл бұрын
My favorite deke is a drop pass. Then I cross check the guy in front of me. Once unconscious, I proceed toward the goalie. TRY IT! TRY IT! :D

Appreciate this one. What I would like to see more instead of the best/ easiest dekes is the best combos and which angles to takes while doing them. For example if a d man is in front of you which combos work best. For me I just press L 1 then toe drag opposite way to keep straight the way I was going but doesn’t work all the time
@PrelectXBL3 жыл бұрын
For me this year, the backhand wiggle deke has been the most effective. That quick step in, followed by moving it back out creates great separation and confuses defenders for a second when the are trying to cut off the angle to the inside.
@llamapenNHL3 жыл бұрын
Really? I'd consider that mid to low tier. The success rate is solid but it's not super deceptive and the animation makes it kinda hard to combo.
@PrelectXBL3 жыл бұрын
@@llamapenNHL don't really combo off of it. It creates separation from the defender and gives me space to find a teammate coming into the zone or push up the boards and get established on offense.

So I’m assuming that the deking stat is the most important stat when it comes to not loosing the puck? Does puck control matter when using dekes?

Puck control is so u dont get bumped when deking or just skating w the puck

Hey Llamma, regarding the spin move, i have a really simple way of remembering which direction on the left thumb stick spins which side. Simply put no matter where you are on the ice, i you direct the directional thumbstick (left) in the direction of the upper hand on the stick (right hand for a lefty for example) the player will always spin presenting the backhand side (counter clock), if you direct the thumbstick on the lower hand on the stick it will do the opposite. It was easier for me that way to remember in which direction i wanted to spin.
