Hey guys! On Weekend Wankshop 324, i'm gonna show you all my new favorite sequence, the 3 Note Per String ANNIHILATOR! This is a really great one to practice and incorporate into your soloing! Its based on sextuplets and a simple trick that i'm going to show you, and in today's video, i'll be taking it up and down the F# Minor scale (although it will also work in any key, scale, or mode). I'll show you the lick, give you some tips, and also show you how to best take advantage of this phrase, whether you're an upwards pickslanting player or a downwards pickslanting player like i usually am! It shreds!!

Wow... this is a great illustration that I need to practice the scales in all different keys. If something is in A or E or D I can fly through it... but switch up the key and I stumble at every step.

great!!! This incorporates my all-time favorite shapes, especially the second one... just remember the accent note is top and bottom of the shape alternating.,.. Brilliant Ben... This really got me out of rut I was in with scale runs all in order... Just going to take time to master the speed you play it at which is ultra amazing...

Glad you're mentioning starting with an upstroke, cause that was my initial way of playing it too... I'll try it the opposite way, lets see what it brings... Great content man; watched some of your videos when starting out on electric a few years ago and rediscovered your channel now that I'm really motivated to push further and get my playing where I'd like it to be (been chilling on the good ol skill plateau for a long time now). Dude, this is so awesome. You're such a monster player man. I've been playing 38 years and some things I can play really fast and some things I can't. Kinda weird really. Certain patterns i just can't do fast or connect with..lol. But im gonna work on this starting tonight. My goal is to get it at least 75% of your speed. Thanks for all the things you show us man. Sometimes i put my guitar down for a bit and then i watch one of your videos and i go pick it back up. I guess you inspire me to keep practicing. It means a lot to me. Oh yeah, man. I think it's cool to see a lick that works with both an upstroke and downstroke. It's a nice base lick to compare the two techniques. Neat stuff, Uncle Ben!

I saw Alice in hell on headbangers ball back in the day and it just blew me away,from that moment on that was the benchmark for a 15 year old me.the whole album is a masterpiece,Crystal Ann is just a perfect album opener.Jeffs melody and general writing on that album is incredible. While picking. Going from high e to low e my speed and accuracy is on point. But from low to high is horrible. 3 note per string the economy shift from one string to the next from low to high strings sucks.
