Mouna sounds like a sound woman but no offense, she was a third who already had kids and not a virgin. She only had gain in marrying you no losses, the way the first did. But one question for you brother, was all this drama over fulfilling your sexual desires worth losing your biological children and breaking your family with the girl who gave her chastity to you. Was it all worth it in the end that you’ve now had years of drama and headaches and divorces and you’re left raising other children while you’ve lost your biological ones and damaged the future and heart of the young girl you married at 19. Genuine question, no shade, was it worth it?

Mahdi, if having three wives led to all this drama and in the end divorcing the first two and ending up with one wife, then was it really worth it? Now your first wife who has only known you has to go find another guy, and you’re raising someone else’s kids. Not that there is a problem with the latter, but what was the point now that you broke your home with the first wife? I just could never stay with a man who didn’t value me enough to protect my heart. I’m scared to death of this ever happening, which is probably why I’m watching this. It’s like a train wreck that you can’t look away from.

Just because she doesn't agree with everything doesn't mean that she can disobey him, the hierarchy must be followed, and she's very mature and rational recognizing that. I don't mind if my future wife disagree with me as long as she follows the hierarchy, and I find funny how hypocritical is modern women nowdays that agree in obeying their bosses at work even when they don't agree, because he's the leader and she want the salary, considering the fact that the boss doesn't love them and can replace them anytime, but they get upset when the abrahamic religions says that she must obey the husband that MUST love her and can't replace her unless she's done something very serious.

Alhamdulillah it was very brave of you both to open up aspects of your marriage publicly like this. May Allah Subhanuhu wa'ta'ala use this as a benefit for those who have watched/listened. In shaa Allah I can only hope that the comments reflect the sensitivity of your situation and don't "fault find" unnecessarily. I've never heard this discussed the way you are discussing it and I am grateful for this. Too often - in my experience as a revert - so MUCH is hidden away and never brought into the light... I'm not explaining this very well... I suppose what I mean is that any time I've had questions about lots of things, I've been "encouraged" to be quiet and the response has more than often been "this is Islam, Alhamdulillah" which in itself isn't wrong as such but it just makes me wonder.... how many Muslims are carrying around frustration with regards to unanswered questions? How many push things down inside themselves that fester? I am a revert of a "certain age" and would definitely consider polygyny but... to date... my experiences on supposed "halal" Islamic marriage websites have been dreadful. I don't want to go in to what happened but suffice it to say... my peace (and my head) was wrecked. I know that you both knew each other's families in advance and that's a good thing. Also I imagine that with regard to culture, you have - if not the same - similar backgrounds. I have a strong feeling that both of you will be together for life and that already you bring out the best in each other which is good. Personally, if I were ever to become part of a polygynous marriage, I would have to have a rule that we don't discuss the other wife/wives and would not want to be discussed with my husband's first (other) wife/wives. I think this would be a good standard to keep but of course, life being life, there would likely be occasions where this could not be avoided....but... in all things and putting Allah first, it is vital to be a wise, humble, selfless and cautious about the sensitivities and issues that come as part of being in a polygynous marriage. Anyway, enough from me, well done on putting this out there and May Allah Subhanuhu wa'ta'ala bless your whole family, all the wives and of course you, and keep you all in humility, love, sincerity and strength in the deen, ameen

whilst having up to 4 wives is allowed in Islam, we cant undermine the importance of the kind of man that can pull this off. Our prophet (pbuh) knew this and advised against it as only a last resort. Men in this day and age do not have the corbels to keep 4 wives equally connected to. Its virtually impossible.

This is soo educational for both men and women who are looking to get into this lifestyle. Learning how to go about managing more than 1 wife has never been openly discuss in the community, usually the standard answer has been you got to be just. Having phone time rules, personal boundaries between each wife, keeping wifes in checking, accepting the reality of jealousy, daily interacting with all the children. The importance that men need to be their purpose -this is huge. This is something that we need to learn as it will increasingly become an option to solving the mass number of unmarried women ratio.

She will inevitably be hurt the most hence her leaving with the kids. I wonder if Mahdi regrets taking on the other wives and losing his kids in the process. I don't always agree with your style of delivery Mahdi, you can be a bit crude and put question marks on your character, and I am not one to shy away from being direct or blunt, woman or man, however we take the good, and focus on the core of the message, and this video has been the best I've seen from you so far, it's not sensationalist, it's as objective as one can be, it addresses real concerns, and is very beneficial to both Muslims and Muslimas, and I respect the courage of self reflection and admitting your own shortcomings so openly and owning them, which shows you learned and grew. I appreciate you bringing us in to what is essentially private - your marriage - in a healthy and respectable way, and sharing what you have worked out through experience I only ask you continue focused on the message and the benefit, and don't get taken away by hype and reactions to nonsense trends constantly, it brings views but lowers the quality of what you have to say. The truth is that man will desire someone else and put up with you when he remarries. This man clearly is putting words into her mouth. The key is to marry a man you don't truly love so if he remarries your not bothered provided he brings something to the table .... This sister sounds a bit simple
@hamoudsk8972

Simple like the wives of the prophet and and the wives of all his companions ? Sisters, there is no saying this kind of stuff without indirectly accusing the prophet SAW of injustice to his wives. Did all the righteous women of the prophet and all his companions not love their husbands? Were they all simple? Or did they just not feel jealousy? I know it hurts and hard but Allah knows that and he decreed this as a right for men still, right ? Hopefully you understand what I’m saying

@@hamoudsk8972 nope I don't get it. If she loves him truly then by virtue of that she is inevitably gonna feel jealous. Infact it's only human nature she feels jealous. So the key to not feeling jelouse is not to marry a man you truly love. Women should Mary a man for his wealth, and what ever else he can bring to the table albeit companionship. So if he chooses to remarry then the sister wouldn't really care less ... Btw we are not talking about marrying a prophet .we are talking about marrying a man. Let's not distort the two... If I don't have true feelings for a man than I wouldn't care less if he does monkey spins and bangs his head But if I cared truly about a man then I would value him so much that I wouldn't want to share him... That's the kind of thing I'm talking about... If you had a Lamborghini car would you want any tom dick or Harry to drive it with or without your consent or would you value it ... I'm just listening and learning.

I just love it when you brothers bring up the Prophet's wives even though 99.99% of you brothers don't even come close to the character and integrity of the Prophet (SAW). Polygamy is not a right of a man, it's a privilege. Clearly it states in the Quran (An- Nisa ayat 3) to marry only one if you cannot do justice by more than one which means it's not a right, it's a privilege. If anything it's warning you against committing injustices against those women which seems to be falling on deaf ears among you brothers. Not to mention, you're tacky for trying to misrepresent what she wrote as an attack on the prophet. You brothers seem to have a thing for making it look like you have anything in common with him because you want polygamy. 😂😂😂Please refrain from questioning the iman of others. Ayah 4:3, which you referenced, scared the Sahabah r.a. also. So Allah revealed 4:129. That made the Sahabah re-assured. The tafseer can give more details. I wish more Muslims looked at 4:3 with 4:129, and not just 4:3. That's why reading an ayah of the Quran on its own can give a misunderstanding.

I totally get what she's saying at 49 minutes. If a woman is sharing her husband she doesn't put all her expectations into that basket, and so won't lose herself to the relationship. She's already accepting him as being with other women and so she is essentially forced to develop the other areas of her life, whether that be with friends, with Allah, with Islam, with herself etc. Whereas a woman who has her husband all to herself has an easy option to just rely on him for all her needs, her life could potentially revolve around him. The more I think about it, polygyny makes so much sense, I don't know why a woman would want a man who is going to just settle for her as if she's the be all and end all, men are wired to persue and build, it just makes sense that she'd *want* him to persue more and not think that she was the end goal. Ofcourse, you can be a man and persue other things, like a career etc, and not just women. But even a man always at his job is gona leave his wife waiting for him a lot of the time.

What you say at 39 minutes regarding women moving on quicker, understood, that might be the case. But I think the reasoning is not true, you mentioned historically women would have to marry again quicker becauser their husbands would die in wars, but that doesn't translate into the evolution of women, women are created the same way 100 years ago as they are today, it must just be in their nature God-given. The historical reality might just be an example of it playing out but not the reason for it.

Its a bit shallow to judge an indivildual from their family. No one chooses their family and some are the complete opposites of their good or bad families. Children from divorced families were tested and they dont have to miss out on getting married because decisions of their parents. Vet an individual based on their values not their family.
