My yoyo comes back when i try to throw it too hard, and because it hurts like hell when it comes back that suddenly, I've started weakening my throws which makes on-string tricks harder.. is there something wrong with the yoyo? Or is there some technique which could prevent this?

I'm far from Being a pro but So far I've got some old school tiger yoyos which are bad, Duncan butterfly XT which didn't exceed the hype, a pulse which I regret getting, a neo which keeps ripping apart my strings, a mosquito that won't sleep for long but returns insanely fast and a dragonfly which turns out to be the best sleeper I have and it has no ball bearings just a plastic axle. Any recommendations on good sleeper yoyos under 20$ to just chill and do some beginner tricks??

Me to. I had a Duncan Reflex for a couple days now and i made my own tricks that it could do pretty well. Now when i do those tricks it sleeps but doesn’t come back up, string gets coiled, and if i i try to actually make it sleep no matter how hard i throw it always comes back up.
