Great video. Thanks. I am going to have a go but also going to add some LED lights and lower it a bit so its almost hidden behind the couch, but reachable and therefore illuminates the wall behind the couch. Thx

I'm glad you guys are back. You guys disappear there for a little while. I would love to see a video on a blanket. Ladder, I'm a huge fan. I am 47 years old. Never touched a tool I have been wanting to build some furniture. Guys make it seem so easy. I keep coming to your page. To see if you've done something new. I'm plan on doing a couple of your projects. I will have lowes cut them and hope the measurements turn out correctly. Until I can afford to get a miter saw. Please keep the videos coming

I love this idea. I would like to know exactly what mix was used to paint and protect the wood. It looks 100% natural wood color. I’m looking for that to use on my new white oak table as I want to protect it but don’t want it to get a dark color because of the sealer.

I know this isnt very expensive to make, but $40 seems a bit low. The cost of wood is bananas, paint/stain and clear coat as well, plus the recessed USB's. Im thinking more around the $70 range? Regardless, great tutorial
@kylehalweg-be6mr
@kylehalweg-be6mr 5 ай бұрын
Maybe your area is pricier. In WI, $2/bd for Standard or $5 for Quality. Stain at $8 (95% of it leftover), $12 water based poly (98% leftover), couple screws, leaves you $10-$16 for the USB things to get to $40. Most projects aren't going to ding you the full $20 for stain/poly because you're only using a small % and can spread that expense across multiple projects.

The outlets are cheap on Amazon. Less than $15. Mine will be cheaper than that because I’m going to use leftover wood from another project that would have been wasted. And I’ll use pocket holes so you won’t see where it’s screwed together at

Mine is coming in around $150, but it's 12 ft long with shelves, cabinet and 8" wide. $60 for wood, $30 for 2 outlets and a wireless charger, $20 for hundreds of pocket screws that will be used in future projects. $30 for hole covers for wires to go through, hinges, hydraulic supports etc. We already had prestain, stain and polyurethane which would have been another $25. $40 seems pretty reasonable for this plan, even in California.

Hey guys, amazing videos, recently found it, instant subscribe. I know you are going for a concise and to the point video, however I would love to watch some videos where you talk or narrate too, it might make the video more immersive. Couldn't go through all of your videos yet, but if there are some with your narration already, do share that.

This is a really cool idea. My house is completely wired for 10 Gb Ethernet. I may add a 10 Gb switch to this piece and internally mounted retractable 10 Gb Ethernet cables accessible from the top (or sides, doesn't matter). I like it.

You can use a drill and drill a heap of small holes just inside the lines to make a big hole and use a file or sand paper to clean the edges up to the size hole you need. A little more work but it’s an option if don’t have the tools
