Matt Rory Macilroy (sp) does hundreds of sit-ups to keep his core strong. I bought a sit-up chair from Amazon for $110. It’s worth ten times the price to me. You want a chair form of sit-up apparatus. It allows the lower stomach to arc towards the ceiling.

Solid contact. So when the ball is struck who’s going through the door first? The left leading the right or the right pushing the left through the door? I think the lefts responsibilities end just before contact. Then if you can follow proper form ,the right generates the power through impact. After 150 balls struck yesterday I (waking up from a snowy winter hibernation) I realized I need to keep the club head off the ground while addressing the ball . If I’m going to miss hit , it should be while trying to do the swing right. I want backspin!

The sit-up bench I’m making reference to has no back rest. It cost now on Amazon $109.99. It folds against the wall in less than ten seconds. I don’t use a few attachments, so that it’s even more of a space saver. I just want to put my knees over foam rollers and then place my feet behind foam rollers. Then I lean back to one of five degrees of incline. A number of the parts are preassembled . At first I was nervous about having all the parts. But after careful study I realized that I had all that was necessary to assemble the sit-up chair. The vinyl covering is adequate but can be easily replaced I hope at an auto repair shop that does vinyl seats.

The first tee box used to be like visiting the dentist or doctor. Anxiety....I’ve done all four, very embarrassing. Then one day I started call my shots to my group and/or to myself. I would pick something far in the distance up high and very small. Just like when I bowl (bowling), I spot bowl, I spot golf. But, 40’ break point (bowling) is easier than 40 yard pitch lol

I find I'm playing my best when I'm thinking "shot shape", when I can visualize exactly how I want to swing before I even swing. Address the ball, look at the spot on the ball I want to hit, which for me is slightly inside to get a draw. That sets up the visualization for the shot. I notice the same thing when I'm shooting a basketball well or hitting a good tennis ball, I'm thinking shot shape. Has anyone else noticed that?

Do a video on getting ur practice session to the course ... maybe you have already ..... I’m amazed at my pga talent at the range ..... then I hit the course and see no resemblance .... I change clubs frequently during practice. I move around during practice. I know I’ll eventually do it. But I would think it would happen by now

My T tips: Setup is THE most important part of getting a good strike so that's all you NEED to think about. Nerves come from thinking about outcome, STOP THINKING ABOUT OUTCOME, think about setup and process. My setup tips: Figure it out on the range, duplicate it on the course. Sometimes I'll also check my setup with an impact pose. My focus at setup is 50% target and 50% speed/tempo. My swing tips: Just before I make my swing at the ball, I'll take up to 5 secs to to steady/balance myself and clear my mind of distracting "mechanic thoughts". Through my swing I have only three thoughts, 1. Target path 2. Speed/tempo 3. Shoulder/pivot control. The way I control my swing is maintaining laser eye focus on a blade of grass in front of the ball and freezing my pivot point until impact. DO NOT break eye contact until AFTER the strike and don't shift forward until AT the strike. My strike/contact tips: Extend your arms through with fully committed intention, think "athleticism". Don't overtake club head and gravity, work with it to be smooth and fluid. Most importantly keep your lead arm STRAIGHT and grip down. Lag, elbow lead, tilt etc is something you ingrain on the range, not think about on the course, learn it. You HAVE to square up that club long as possible through the bottom arc. (If all of this doesn't help then you really just need more swing mechanic training and experience, ie. more videos, lessons, range time. You won''t get decent at golf if you don't hit balls at least an hour a day 4-5 days a week. By "decent " I mean low 20's handicap or bogey golf.)

I am looking at my game hard at the moment and I just see I have two issues that really kill me 1 Getting off the tee By that I mean I can hit 1 220/250 yards straight down the middle and then I can hit the next one into.a tree 50 yards off the tee This is obviously an area I have got to work on 2 Short Game from 100 yards and in If I score well I find I chip.amd putt well If I score bad I find I 3 putt or I am having Adolfs (2 shots in a bunker) stuffing chips etc The bit about getting to the green ain't the problem Hitting approach shots to the green I am in the vicinity and I don't seem to have a lot of problems getting the 2nd shot away on a Par5 It is really the start and end of a hole that is killing my scoring

Another great video Matt. You know golf is like sex, aiming with your shaft and all least ways that’s what I tell my wife, she’s killing my golf game. You hit on good points my head is full of swing thoughts and I find that if I don’t try to kill the ball I play well and have solid contact, sad part is I only remember that swing thought maybe five times a round. I’m a moron. Love ya brother, stay safe.
