Can you clarify what metrics you did use to determine what is cheap vs expensive? And how did you take risks & opportunities into consideration? I.e. did you use scenario’s with weighted averages? Personally, I am very surprised by your top 5, because some of the are very large companies which naturally have lower growth due to the law of diminishing returns. I expected smaller companies like FOUR here

Considering the growth and price/FCF $MELI is still looking cheap compared to $SHOP. Agreed with $AMZN that it's looks cheap in the magnificent 7.

Brian, My mental framework is that in the short term, the market is more efficient than our calculations. However, market inefficiencies are in the long term. Our advantage is to be right about the longevity of growth. But, the longevity of growth can only be assessed qualitatively. That’s why I think your anti fragile and moat analysis are much more valuable than a deterministic reverse DCF model based on a 10 year growth, which misses the longevity variable.

@@samueltindell8753 personally I still don't. Their only valuable asset is instagram, FB is a super inefficient and outdated product that basically doesn't change since it was released. Consumer habbits change quickly and I'm betting we're going to see a new social media app this decade that will bury FB like it did to, say, MySpace. And once the audience moves to another product, the ad revenue income will collapse.

It seems crazy that you've invested and beaten the market for so many years without any emphasis placed on valuation at all, and now you seem to hold valuation in quite a high regard.

That's totally fair. Remember, *this* video is focused on valuation, but the anti fragility of the BUSINESS is still most important to me. That said, look at the chart of my returns and you see the huge dip in 2022 -- it was enough to cause me to reconsider tweaking my approach
