You forgot the drunk bartender. Who gets too drunk to pour a drink, ends up having to burn their well cause they broke glass In it. Annoying to customers and co-workers.

Here’s where I stand….. I make money if I’m fast, the costumer is always right until they’re too drunk to be right anymore, and I’ll make them whatever they want, even if it’s 1942 with pineapple juice, because guess what? They’re paying for it.

A mixologist is just a bartender that can’t fight.

The bartender that makes zero eye 👁 contact, disappears all the time,talks to guest way longer then he or she should versus making other guests drinks.

😂 Thanks for the great video! I think you missed one, but it could sort of fall under category #5. The aggressive bartender. He's always shouting and knocking his fist on the bar. Will never twist off a cap. It's always popped off with the opener and usually the threads get broken so you have glass in your beer. I worked for about 6 months as a doorman in a bar. AB guy once said the wrong thing during Wednesday bike night, but I didn't catch what it was. The customer he pissed off wasn't very big. Dude reached across the bar and pulled AB over and onto the floor dragging his face along the bar in the process. Guess the guy must have been Bruce Lee or special ops or something. Then he just walked calmly out the door. Well I wasn't going to stop him! I think what most bartenders and waitstaff forget is that alcohol changes people's personalities. So ya can't serve someone 10 drinks and then expect them to remain urbane sophisticates. Heard a lot of complaining about that. Very unrealistic. You're selling a strong drug. Give it and the people consuming it the respect that will keep you from having problems you don't want later.

4:38, That’s it! That’s it!! That’s the bartender I was up against. I may have been in the wrong, but that’s the kind of bartender I had to face tonight. All I did was kept my cool, and gave her back the receipt. It was all I can do. The people in that hotel were the bartender was working weren’t too happy with her.

15 years in and still enjoy and can’t believe I make a living and take good care of my family doing this. Don’t want to be the best in my city. Just want people to enjoy their drink and our time together. I know personally know a few of these types of bartenders and they always make the bar a less enjoyable place Vs when they aren’t there.

The bartender I'm thinking of totally ignores me but if someone else comes up to the bar he has no problem waiting on them he'll even stopped doing dishes when I've been standing there for 5 minutes I've decided not to tip him as much

Actually the most annoying bartenders are the ones that are generally in their 50s and 60s that are arrogant and rude thinking they’re hotshots and in some sort of political office. They have that passive demeanor that’s annoying. I’m thinking, “You’re pouring alcohol into a glass, dude. Get off it.”

i dont like how you call out mixologists like there all bad people so what u came across one rude mixologist and suddenly they are all bad and theres teens that want to be mixologists like me for example and your gonna make them not want to be one my aunt is a mixologist and she said that mixologists are never rude because there job is also being happy and giving the customer a happy performance so its rare to come across a rude mixologist and they dont care if they have to make them a simple drink it actually makes them happy because it gives them a little break from doing mainly cocktails so pls dont put your negative opinion onto other people because you was completely wrong about mixologists and its normally bartenders that are rude not mixologists because mixologists are trained to be happy and make people happy its there job .
