If I could eat at one of these places again, I think it would be Barceloneta. The food was great, yes, but it's all about just being on the marina and staring out at those super yachts. Such a cool experience.

I have been using duo lingo to learn a little bit of French and I’m so excited that I understood most of your message without a translator :) 😆 It made my day! We are looking forward to our trip to Paris this December. That will really put my language skills to test.

PS husband again - checking your history - Where and when were you in the USAF ? I was in 1963-67. Five weeks out of basic, at my first SAC base in Wash. State, President Kennedy landed to make a speech at Hanford Nuke site. Seven weeks later he was killed. We were moving our office to another building when a Sgt. ran in and said the President had been shot. Took about 30 min. for this bomber / missile base to go on lock down and I had my winter gear and M-1 ready to be posted in the snow out in the far reaches of the desert base. Lucky me, we didn't have to post. I was only 20 and didn't know what to expect.

That is not PAELLA that is fish rice cooked in paella, also traditional, and great ones. But the authentic VALENCIAN PAELLA is made in VALENCIA (and rare valencian restaurants outside Valencia) and is a MEAT RICE, with chicken, duck (optional) and rabbit.
@AlwaysBeChanging Жыл бұрын
Very interesting. Thank you for sharing! Food history and culture is so much deeper than we realize when we sit down at a restaurant. I’m going to look into Valencian paella now :)

@@AlwaysBeChanging By the way, nice to watch videos. Be back soon in Spain and do not miss a bit, going to Galicia, Asturias, Basque Country, Valencia, Murcia, Andalusia and Madrid.
