First and foremost, awesome video. Please keep reacting to more overlord videos. Secondly No Godkin or any other character for that matter in levels 80 - 89 can fight a 95+ character in most cases. It was mentioned that after level 90 each level is so much more advanced. I think, not sure about this but I think at some point in LN it says 1 level from 90 onwards equal to 10 normal levels late game (late game probably 70 - 80). So the gap between a level 89 character and level 90 character is actually 89+ 10(70-80) levels. Which is massive. So unless the level 90+ character in question is a dedicated support class like cleric or healer with no offence magic at all then there's no question about the outcome. As for the current status of the three Godkin, We were introduced 2 of 3 in anime so far the Captain Dude and Zeshi. Third one has been introduced in LN but not in anime yet. All three of them are alive atm. Beside The captain Dude (as I like to call him) who briefly got involved in the fight with Shalltear in Season 1 they haven't really got involved yet. At least in Anime. In light Novel all 3 are making moves or in some cases are forcibly moved 🤭 by Nazarick. We have to wait for the release of the next LN volume to determine the fate of some of them.

The Rune magic went downhill not because Tier magics introduction weakened it, but because Tier magic was much more convenient to use. It takes a dwarf decades to learn to inscribe a single rune upon an object, and decades more to improve, not to mention that some other races don't have the luxury of spending decades to inscribe just one rune. Tier magic, however, can achieve the same effects temporarily or even permanently via several methods and far less effort. For example you could have an always sharp runeblade, or you could just learn a low tier spell, a martial art or even get a potion that temporarily makes your blade sharper, or you could pay a mage to permanently enchant your weapon. If there are only so many battles that you will ever face in your short life, it's all far more convenient than using Runes. The biggest outlier among all these options are ofc the potions. Not only do you not need to learn anything to apply them to your weapon, but there is also a great variety of effects to choose from depending on the situation, while with runecraft you're stuck with what you got. The reason why Ains was so interested in runecraft, besides it being not part of game's mechanics, is that it has potential for mass productions while it's in his hands, and because it can be applied to A LOT of things outside of battle as well. For example put a cold rune on a metal box. Now you got a refrigerator. Put protection and preservation runes upon anything and it will endure being used several times more before breaking. There is a whole sea of possible applications for runecraft when combines with resources and capabilities of someone like Ainz.

There's a huge plot hole with all these videos is that they ignore that PDL stated that players appear every 100 years or so, meaning that after the 8 greed kings and before Ainz, 4 other waves of players arrived and we know essentially nothing about them so most people just treat them as if they didn't even exist but one of them might be the father of a character that'll appear and grandfather of the godkin half elf that we know and you mentioned.

wow, great timing, i was just looking for a vid to watch. Anyway, the godkins were indeed not shown anymore after that scene in anime, because they were not relevant to the plot at that time. but you will see them in season 5 , and more than this will be spoiler, so I`m gonna stop.

Well overlord is an anime, ofc it has way more power and uses than would be in a dnd game. Because in dnd players need to keep track of all that and it can be tidious as it is. Also what overlord took from dnd was based off 3.5 edition which apparently was a way more power heavy system with just a lot more stuff. Which made balance a nightmare. So 5th edition, which mist people will play now, has a much more toned down power level. Less abilities, less uses, and they are per day or short/long rest, so its easier to track. Not to mention the lvl 20 cap.
