Better for Ferrari aka "team voodoocurse" if they let Leclerc go and seek someone close to Sainz. Ferrari lacks that social antennea refinement, pretty behind on humanitarian tactfullness. Interesting to watch in car camera shots of Mercedes at Saudi. They might tell everyone they have fixed porpoising, but that car is doing a lot of vertical movement as speed increases. Compare that to others and you can see a lot going on there.

@@britishempire3342 Not really. Williams and McLaren are about the same in terms of legacy and prestige, sharing the #2 spot behind Ferrari. They have a very similar number of titles too. But more importantly, both became pretty mediocre and then outright bad since the end of the V10 era, the last time those teams were competetive they were named BMW Williams and West McLaren Mercedes...

Alpine never offered him a drive in 2023 until after the Alpine contract had expired and he'd already signed with McLaren. It was Piatri's only logical choice. Alpine really made a mess of the situation.

Agree. Seems like there should be a way to provide context to uninformed viewers without the fake commentator. The uninformed viewers do not know it's a fake commentator, so this technique - and the entire show, really - is geared toward them.

As a Red Bull fan, Piastri doesn’t deserve any bad karma. He simply chose the only option he had to guarantee a race sit in 2023. Alpine did nothing to secure him a sit prior to Alonso’s move and by then he had already signed a contract. Had he chosen McLaren for a better pay then yeah he should get some bad karma but he did what any rational person would do in his situation.

Toto's outburst in the team principals' meeting will never not be funny. The classic bully who, when pushed to the wall, comes up with nonsensical arguments ("you all did something to limit the problem" ... yeah ... how is that their problem and not yours? why don't you?) and then goes strawman ad hominem ("well your driver says your car is shit! i have it printed out!")
