It’s odd that the mantra “Love yourself” is so pervasive in society.

"Lord Jesus Christ, (deep breath, long exhale), have mercy on me a sinner." - A quick prayer that I like to use.

Great video, Amber! One pitfall that I often fall into is to focus on my flaws and then to call that humility, when in reality I’m still focused on myself but in a negative way. I forget who said it but true humility is not thinking less of yourself but thinking of yourself less.

It's the main mortal sin i struggle with.

After watching this video I started praying the Litany of Humility. It is a extremely beautiful prayer, everything there I do, I lomg for and all of those things I offer to Jesus, so I can become humble. It is so beautiful and powerful. Thanks Amber!

Great choice of a theme, and great video. It’s not about “arrogant people” though. And it’s not like “someone struggles with pride”. We all do. You and me, for sure, especially since we’re both happy to publish videos of ourselves monologuing on youtube. Arrogance and pride are inside everyone of us.

Good morning religious hippie, Today I would like to say that this video is very encouraging and helpful on how to fight against the sin of pride and to resist it. Now don't get me wrong. My mom always said that I should take pride in my goals and accomplishments and it's true but she said and warned me that I shouldn't let my prideful behavior get the best of me and don't become arrogant. I vividly remember years ago in the month of February I made it to the rank of Eagle scout and it was the proudest day of my life and my parents were proud of me. And afterwards, I began to humbly write out thank cards to my friends and family members who attended the ceremony. And the worst part of the deadly sin of pride is narcissism. And unfortunately my older brother lacks humility and empathy because he thinks he's arrogant, egotistical and a narcissist and he thinks he's better than anyone else and refuses to humbly admit to his faults and mistakes. And as for me, I try my best to humbly admit to my mistakes and faults and tell my mom about it and I try not to compare myself to my older brother or anyone else. And please don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be better than anyone else. I'm only trying to be a good example to others. And what helps me to become humble and understanding? The Holy Rosary. And there's an old saying, "Pride goes before a fall." So I hope when you read this, you'll understand what I'm saying.

The intro happy break is funny

A very common and popular assignment in elementary school classrooms is having students write an "I Am" poem. On the surface it seems very harmless and self affirming for students but it's real objective is much more nefarious. Students are essentially putting themselves in the position of God, which can lead to the topic of this video. There is a fine line between teaching kids to value and respect themselves and teaching them they are equals with God.

I never got rid of my overflowing pride. I tried many times to lower this otherworldly wind-current but a learned to adapt and now pride pushes me in heights i never would have imagined before. There is a being and i became one with this being. Okay maybe i have some schizophrenia but i don't care. This being it is pushing me forward and i know what I'm doing is great it will bear the sweetest fruits. But society is so blind and so wrong in forming opinions about me, they do me wrong they are cruel and stupid little troglodytes in comparison to me. The need to accept that i am better i am above these little troglodytes. Okay common people have worth we need them to do minor tasks to run the society, but they need to learn not to look down on ME but learn to look UP to ME. I'm of higher quality and higher in evolutionary developement. Period. Okay so you all can see my overflowing pride and i mean it what i did write obove. So how can i get humble? I really want to because i am so drunken of myself i can't barely function in real life anymore and everyone is either afraid of me or hates me or is laughing at me and then there are all my followers in real life the can't get enough of my pride and follow me everywhere and love me but i don't love them but i can't get rid of them because they are so nice and i can't just be mean and send them away because I'm despite all my pride I'm too nice to be honest. 😱😵‍💫

Is pride ALWAYS a sin tho? I see some people saying they are proud Catholics and St Paul mentions about his pride in some of his brethren (can't remember exact verse, I'm sure I could find it again).
