There are 8 levels of value investing -- according to one 'legendary' forum post written years ago by an old-time value investor. Level 1 is where every value investor begins their journey, and you advance through the levels as you spend more time and gain more experience investing. However, this doesn't mean that you will eventually reach Level 8 (where Warren Buffett resides). Instead, you will come to reach a level where you find the investment style and strategy that best fits your own personality and life. So which level of value investor are you? I think most people could be at L5 at most. Those at L6 probably are people with deep industrial knowledge.

Why worship someone after their passing? One should worship a genius while he is still alive. Because that’s when he is speaking and living the wisdom. Take advantage of his wisdom and ride the wind. Why worship a 2,000 year old Buddha when there is already one living in the present moment whom you can ask your questions and get his answers. I am speaking from experience.

If you are living at the time when a genius is still alive, take that rare opportunity to know and learn from that genius be it Buffet or Buddha. Unless you are going to come back again in 50 years' time, Now is the best time to gain as much wisdom as possible. Just imagine the time when Buddha was alive how few people recognized him as the living Buddha? Many people could have passed him by without giving a second glance. But now that he is long gone, millions of people are going to temples. If only those who lived during Buddha’s time knew he was a living enlightened master, they'd have taken that rare opportunity to associate with him and gain from that. Buddha didn't attained enlightenment after his death, he was already enlightened while living in the physical. Same goes to Jesus. So my point is, worship a genius while they are still living and learn as much as possible. There is nothing wrong to worship a person while they are still alive. There can only be one and only one Buffet or Einstein or Steve Jobs and the list goes on and on. If you can spot them and recognise them as such, go after them. We are so lucky to be living in the golden age of giants.
