Funny, at the moment I mainly practice what seems to be the 6th and 7th exercices you talked about in this video. Recognising the degree I am playing without looking at the fretboard. I do that over a single major or minor chord vamp. I like it a lot 😊

Most teachers do not actually teach dynamic in lead playing. i really understand how soft and all the other variations in a complete solo would be helpful with an emotional interpretation of a song. Very interesting concept. Thanks for the lesson.

Also one of the best exercise is to be sure that you are breathing continuously while playing (not holding breath). Because you are a master when your breath rhythm isn't effected by anything.

This was a VERY good video. I never expected you to mention the body. I was just thinking about this the other day. Not in regard to tension though. I find, that when I allow my body to move, to become expressive while playing, I play SO MUCH better. I have also found myself swinging my head back n fourth sometimes, and did not even know I did this, or make facial expressions, like I do during certain passages in tunes? Thx again. On another note Sivan, I just checked your bio and saw you graduated from the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University. I had no idea you were from Israel. I bring this up because I was in Israel with my wife in Oct/2019. I noticed there was a VERY high caliber of jazz musicians there, even on the street busking. I saw an unbelievable violinist busking, and shredding out Paganini runs. There is so many great Israeli jazz musicians, and not just guitar players, one I'll mention is Avi Shai Cohen. His song REMEMBERING, is so good, and theres a section of the song - A Minor, A minor/G, F# diminished, e7 - that is great to improvise over.
