I like in between players (I'm one myself) most I met were really chill. I don't really care about meta. I only try to get the best artifacts possible for my mains. I don't care if Noelle, Lisa, Klee, Yoimiya and Beidou aren't the best characters or meta. Some meta slaves just annoy me. I just can't stand it when people trash on Amber, Noelle and other non "meta" characters

i think i'm in between too. i like playing noelle and kaeya. in fact my kaeya had been carrying me thru. now i'm at AR35 (new players here), i want to look for more artifacts and exploring while get the most out of characters i have. also while saving primos for zhongli

Haha yall dont worry, a lot of starter characters have mushed into the meta too, mentionably Amber, as one of the best flex spots in a Hu Tao vape team. But I otherwise agree, although I myself mostly play by the meta, other meta players shouldnt assume everyone plays or liked meta

I play who I like. pull for who I want only co cuz so pricy. Don’t get what stuff means half the time. And build my teams for what I find works for me. Even if there no way they can handle the abyss so I forget to go there. I think I got to floor ten and went meh to much time can’t be assed to weak for that. Levels up multiple ppl at once. Due to getting new ones and wanting those instead of the last one I was doing y’a know. I play most days do dailies and chill out in co op with friends or helping low ar players do bosses

I would say I'm the "in between" type of player lol I do dailies, buy the welkin moon, do story quests and events, and I play the characters I like most!(semi whale on characters I really want...LOL) Don't exactly hardcore grind and play at a casual pace, don't want to burn myself out on this game 😊

Same here I lost 5050 on Ayaka this banner, so I grinded about 70 (I had Welkin to help too) then I spent $15 to get her because I’m afraid I wouldn’t get her if I waited

Pretty much the same. Only issue is this upcoming banner I want both Hu Tao and Yelan. I am about 15 pulls of pity and lost my last 50/50... So I am HOPING I can get both without spending too much. My hope is getting lucky on the guaranteed with Hu Tao early (I have about 23 pulls saved up) and then grind all month for Yelan (maybe drop $20 or so too) and win her 50/50. But what will REALLY happen is I win Hu Tao on the 89th pull and lose Yelan's 50/50 on the 90th pull AFTER throwing a hundy ($100) on the game. I will then cry.

Yep same I don’t Usually spend money on wishing (I don’t like spending money on something I’m not guaranteed I might if I’m desperate) I usually buy the character skins. If I have extra stuff from buying a character skin tho I might buy some. I usually just do daily coms as well (I burnt myself out with exploring sumeru)

I did this ever since I reached AR50 lol, but only up to my characters having 4* weapons and artifacts (Glads are surprisingly plentiful in terms of good pieces)

oof. im a bit of that guy but im actually lucky instead. anyways continue if you want to see me flexing got zhongli at 70+ pity on 50/50. but i wanted to lose 50/50 to mona for guaranteed. during the 2.5? i think? livestream, i got ganyu at 15 pity i think. the next day i had enough for a 1 pull and i got mona. jesus christ. that was my luckiest day ever. obviously imagine if i won 50/50 and got c1 ganyu… my ganyu would be cracked oh yeah during yoimiya banner i got her at 10? pity. she was my first 5 star. oh yeah and during hu tao banner, i got hu tao and acsended her. got free fate did a wish and got jean at 10~20 pity. (on standard) i think thats all my list of lucky times. oh yeah did i mention im f2p? and my artifact rng is amazing. i get everyones full set in 2~5 days. 20+ crit dmg and 6+ crit rate. ehe~ but that also means i dont have many artifacts since i get so good ones so often i run out of exp to level them. anyways i got venti. but nothing lucky really happened cause it was just guaranteed from mona. oh right. my alt. lost 50/50 to diluc. a few weeks later ayato banner came, i really wanted ayato so i did a pull (rip kazuha guarantee) and got him. a few weeks later got a skyward atlas on standard o.o! (60 pity) ehe~ thats all my list of lucky times i think now for the unlucky. got dissapointed i lost 50/50 to qiqi on kokonuts first banner. got venti at 78 pity, um.. keqing on standard at 70~80…. uhmmm yeah thats it. did i mention im f2p? wait nvm i did. nvm (anyways the last part was trying to mock people ehe) i usually stay silent about my lucky pulls unless someone asked/something related to that came up

Somewhere between a casual and a lore person? I play every day, but I hate the abyss. Probably because I'm unlucky with artifacts, and just bad at playing in general. Love the story though, so I keep my AR low and have fun So far, that seems to be working for me ;) *Not* f2p, btw

I feel like most people are the in-between here, including me. I’m pretty chill, don’t really care for big impressive numbers, and prefer my sanity over primogems (so naturally I only interact with sa for as little as possible). I don’t buy welkin or bp however, and this is like the only game I play these days-

I used to be a f2p but kinda got traumatized after losing the 50 on xiao's rerun, the first time i bought welkin moon was on his banner so i can wish again (got him 4 days before his ban was gone) then pulled for zhongli and got lucky with a 5* but not zhongli i got diluc since then i was officially a low spender 👁️👄👁️👍🏾

And I am from further future(patch 6.2) and hoyoverse is still stuck in sumeru, archon quest was nice ngl, and childe got so many reruns that hoyoverse made him the ONLY standard character and all mondstadt characters are the rarest characters in the game, they hardly get a rerun and everyone is dying for qiqi's rerun

@@sleeper5905 i am from the further further future (patch 18.4), hoyoverse is now just hoyo and teyvat got exploded at the last region, there is a new dimension/world called Uphax, there are also new elements, time, darkness, plasma, and mind

"The In-Between" fits me pretty well! I started playing for the story and it's the main reason why I still continue playing the game. I try not to stress too much over the Spiral Abyss, though it's nice if I can manage to make it pretty far. I do spend a little bit here and there for Welkins and maybe sometimes a Gnostic Hymn. Also, I don't care that much about getting "meta characters" - if I don't like their playstyle for one reason or another, I'm not pulling for them. I have to say though, "Too Up-To-Date" fits me a little bit too, but I only look at leaks for possible banner predictions based on upcoming version content. I just feel this need to know who's coming next so I can start preparing for a character I might want.

I'd say I am an inbetween with the whale mentality. (Despie being broke lol) I really enjoy the game. I don't care if i can't 36 the abyss, (I am progressing gradually to a point I can) but I really love the game and I feel every character can be good if build right.

I’m a in between player but I’m f2p and it’s so relaxing, i haven’t done all my story/world quests but I still have to grind to get my fav characters, I absolutely love exploring and idc about meta, I prefer aesthetics over “the best weapon” anyways AND LORE head!! This game is so detailed it’s so refreshing!!

I'm the tryhard and the in-between because I recently tried very hard on beating spiral abyss because I had nothing else to do in this game and succeeded with 30 stars, but I also pull for characters that I like and give them the artifacts because I want them to be strong, not only because of spiral abyss, just like favorite characters being strong

i think i am a in between player! i pull characters i rlly want, but at the same time i pull characters if theyre meta i only spend money if i need to, and i only level up characters i will use! i play the game to enjoy, and at the same time finish missions. i dont complete the abyss yet i do! i just play the game to have fun, i dont like to stress out. its a fun playstyle i wish more people could try out :)

I’m kinda of mix of in between and meta hoe,but part of that’s just so I can find ways to go about building up my charecters. I don’t really wish on 5 stars like that unless I’m really that interested or I would like to have there skill set.And sometimes I play in abyss though if the dps check because to much I will just stop while I’m ahead and try another time.

I'm 100% the in-between. like everything you said fits. -I play everyday -I buy battle pass and welkin moon -I try spiral abyss but I don't stress about it -I grind for artifacts so my favourite characters can be strong -I love the story and the characters and just play the characters I like

I'm in the in between, too updated, and lore nerd categories (I'm also F2P, but it really is just because I'm not allowed to buy Welkin). I mostly play to do the best for characters I love have everything ready to triple crown a Kazuha even though it's really a bad idea for meta purposes), but also I like having spoilers for media I consume so I can better understand the themes of the work immediately, and it is very interesting how a lot of Teyvat ties into the idea of Gnosticism and how the society that symbolized human achievement without a false god was the one that was smited, presumably by the demiurge

I'm the "in-between" but F2P with a little bit of advance planning to snatch the 5* I like with the freemogems I get along the way. I totally don't care about endgame or spiral abyss, which I finish as fast as I can usually with 30-33* just to get some of those bi-weekly primos. I like the story and will play until it ends, maining Lumine and supporting her with characters I like vs meta builds.

The worst thing about this is, most of the time, the tryhard and primo beggars are the same person. Lol. As for me, I'm a dolphin for a character I really like. I dont like every character but when I do, they're guaranteed for their signature weapon full stop. I'm also a lore enthusiast and I enjoy the story so much.

The one I think was missed was the "You don't pay for anything in this game, thus have no right to criticize, suggest, or praise the game" players. Apparently, being a whale makes it so your opinion matters the most, and everyone else are just trash or leeches. I've met a few of these...unfortunately.

I'm an in-between player cuz I play like everyday and just grind whatever I can tho I'm AR45 who hasn't done the ascension quest yet because I'm not ready lmao. I wouldn't say I am a try hard cuz I don't really do the spiral abyss after I got to floor 7 and I don't flex so much since I'm a f2p with *13,000 primogems* . Yea. *a n y w a y s* I don't have too many 5 stars either I just have the Raiden Shogun and Jean but I'm saving up for a Klee rerun or waiting for Yelan in 2.7.

I don't know what type am I...... I try to grind for best artifacts.......even non metas....... Scour for primogems from events and dailys but rarely from quests or puzzles... Stuck on spiral 9-1 but never really tried hard ever again after that..... Does that make me casual or try hard but in different direction

I'm kinda glad I haven't met a try hard because they would genuinely shit on me if they seen the way I play 😭 I'm more so the in between because I love the story lines, the cut scenes (especially) and I love the characters

u forgot the heckin generous/helping high-rank players, I love whenever they join me, they're always like "Need help?" "Oh, let's do this domain it'll be good for X character you have" "Do you need anything else?" etc. just generally super nice and helpful lol, it's one of the only games where I feel less anxious abt interacting with other playrs in-game, everyone so far has been nice to me! (In game, off-game on other platforms obvi I've seen the toxic tryhards ;-;)

I guess I'm casual? I won't spend money on any games (except buying the game directly) even when I have enough to eat and live comfortably. If the game is good, it can be loved and appreciated without spending a single coin. I like it that way. It's more fun to gradually unlock things then just pay a lot and get everything on a silver platter. Played Ovenbreak like that for 3 years, did have a 4 month break, still feels good to play Besides, as an artist, I don't mind the grind. Artist can spend weeks on a piece and I spended 2 hours on one once, so grinding away with my headphones and a Spotify playlist just sounds like my usual day
