I agree, when I first got the game I was really surprised he was not a 5* because he was supposed to be the calvary captain?? Plus, doesn't Kaeya supposedly have the best sword stats, it kind of makes me feel like he was supposed to be a 5* to begin with but they changed it last minute

@@sophxcat Currently, Kaeya has the highest normal attack scaling for sword users. Keqing is second. Keqing, Albedo, and Kaeya have a charged sword attack that pushes them backwards. Kaeya and Sayu are the only characters who has an unique ability outside of their skillset, a teleporting ability within their normal attack sequence allowing them to go to the nearest enemy. Yanfei, Beidou, and Kaeya are the only characters that grant themselves an ability to gain a shield through constellations. For a 4-star, Kaeya is actually up there as a pretty decent and balanced sword unit. You can even play around his kit and make him either physical or cryo dps.

kaeya cant compete against ganyu strong single target dps and ayaka aoe and burst but he is really solid unit out of all the 4 stars he can arguebly be the strongest dps... he works alone so adding teams is just a bonus.... funny hes simplicity is something that shares with his brother diluc

yeahhh! his ult is okay for starting players, but it should be buffed. But instead of a Cryonado, consider: something like the Cryo Abyss Mage's icicle drop thingin an AoE around him. Bit like Ganyu's but it moves and the radius is smaller, and maybe it has some different purposes.

Cryonado is basically Rosaria, even though it's stationary. I find that melt Rosaria is very comparable to Xiangling. I only have c4, but I believe c6 Keaya is the closest thing to a cyro Xingqiu.

I really Hope that mihoyo will give out free constellations of them in the future. Or at least, make them easier to get, since they greatly buff each of them. Like, c'mon, how are they gonna design a literal prince from a fallen nation and the best graduate from a highly prestigious academy in 2 centuries, then somehow brush that all under the rug? I'm pretty sure -or at least, strongly hope lol- that they're gonna play some major role in future game lore

Every gacha game gives out starter constellations like hot cakes because that’s what they are: starters that are meant to help you in the beginning. @@AylanDerg Traveller is restricted though, their design philosophy has clearly been "like the archon, but worse." Unless the future archons start powercreeping the game, Traveller is never going to get better kits.

@@BlackGateofMordor I think when the traveller gets abilities with no archon to compare to (either what dain uses or their original power) they will probably actually be in the meta, well at least it will be a higher probability

In CBT, Ayaka deals almost the same damage as Kaeya, albeit a 10% higher. After Ganyu's release, her kit was changed to make her competitive enough.

Amber has her Elegy support stint in Hu Tao comps, but it's even more niche than the other two starting characters

Well there diffrent build Amber mains already created. If you dont like aiming Go for a Ult Burst build for her she only need 40 energy so hebben a meldt built whould work with her in it. Or a baron Bunny build but you need aim on it this only Ment if you want the explosie build of the bunny. As the person above said is also a good build it help for a Pyro build (if we talk only about Amber in a team build aaide from other Character we already know) 1 last build whould be a Anome/ Hydro build For Anome you have: Traveler, Jean Sucrose and Kazuha the only characther who can grap Baron Bunny, dododo king & Mabey Gouba? with there ability. Where with Traveler you Just suck Them up and they are in the tornado, with Jean you also suck Them in with the hold ability same with sucrose only with her charge Attack Them your build whould be the explosie build ( but correct me if im wrong about Sucrose, im not so sure she did but i have fuzzy memories when i did those two i know from the other). While with Hydro, Mona works with Amber quit well die the fact her Alt need 2 sec delay where Amber Ult works with that time frame you can get a good reaction from Them Add Diano with it and you have already have a team the 4 person chould be Bennet for 2 Pyro user in a team or someone else.

Lisa c0 is also useful for Raiden Hypercarry teams if you don't have c6 sara

Actually, those three elements are also the three types of elemental damage you can deal in Honkai Impact 3rd(other game made by Hoyoverse), the only real differences being that they can come in different colors(Electro can be yellow or purple, etc.) and that the elements are called Fire, Ice, and Lightning. Therefore, it would also make sense if their elements came from Honkai. However, your point would actually still be correct, as Honkai probably chose their elements due to them being the most used elements.

@@AspynAeraki not really dificult. A favonious bow in the start by Quest and the rest by forging or event. The forging weapons are actually good and barbara does excelente healing with the prototype. Kaeya and traveler uses the elemental mastery one and Mara mappa is forgeble for lisa. The game itself is not hard and without the looming "have to catch them ALL" the game is actually relaxing

I've finally met my no-wishing people! Been hearing Kaeya's the best out of the three starters but I just like playing as Lisa more (probably because I happened to slap EM artifacts on her since I started playing lol). Now I use her with Xiangling and Xingqiu from Lantern Rite

@@ACFaller that’s a good one, but I’ve already seen a few suggestions with that, so I wanted to change it up a bit. But utility wise, it is better.

That’d be good and sorta useful in a way with the example you gave being the monolith. And if one of your co-op teammates is about to die you can distract opponents you can use Lisa so they can heal themselves. So it’s not really a nerf I guess, just an inconvenience if those conditions don’t apply.

Problem is in 4person coop you can't switch out, lisa would be the only prime target and... Well... Lisa is very squishy and you don't want to dodge all the time or build def on her. It's a nice idea but i think a bit over the top, having thorns is enough of a benefit I'd say. Maybe a 1sec thorn duration after pressing the elemental skill (works well with alternating normals) and another duration with 300% thorn dmg while holding the skill.

@@nilswi maybe if the taunt is too much we can just shorten the hold time just to make sure she gets less dmg

tbh we dont really need to nerf or balance these characters, i mean its a pve game n all about exploration , buffing them would only make the game much more better imo, (of course they can add like an evolution system in the game where we can increase every characters star level, 4 star to 5 star and 5 star to 6 star)

@@kxr9663 buffing them would only make the game easier, not better. And balancing helps to give every character a reason for existence. If there is a character straight up better in everything, the worse one will feel awful to play in comparison. On the other hand, if a unit is broken/insanely good, there won't be any difficulties or skills needed and the game gets very boring very fast.

Plus their skill level ups don’t carry through their element switches, and you have to get whole new artifacts for each one. They’re less “one decent character who can switch between elements” and more seven subpar characters, and you have to pick one.

@@ayakastarebutnotpsychopath9834 for some reason i wasnt interested in other characters? i rolled but i didnt use new characters. it also led me to never using healers or shields. i started using new characters eventually but as far as i remember i used starter team all through out mondstadt and through the most part of the liyue. emotional connection is very important to me haha

@@sli30man46 Which is why we make her a support, she has the most potential for support of the three as she's a Catalyst user and shreds DEF (Plus works in Superconduct teams well), make her skill a nuke but gimp her normal and charged attack damage And also you have to remember, she's a 5* now, Kazuha reduces enemy resistance by 40%, increases Elemental damage by up to like 50%, groups enemies up, deals constant high damage swirls and if we throw Cons and weapons into this we also have an extra 20%-40% Attack boost as well as 16-32% N/C/P attack damage and 200 EM. Lisa getting a little bit of DEF shred is fine

In all my 36* clears, I have used Lisa as a support to my Eula Raiden team, so I am interested in how the def shred would work

Use Overloaded or Superconduct, the AoE from the Reactions count towards the conductive charges. Say you have 3 enemies inflicted with pyro, using the tap skill gives them all 3 charges if they are close enough together. Doesn't work for the 2nd ascension passive though for some reason.

But it's gonna be so hard for them to implement anything special or unique into Kaeya's kit. Kaeya's kit is just too plain and simple for them to do anything with it of magnitude. He's a complete character, so what is there to fix? What they do in Honkai, is that they have different versions of the character that you can pull for in the gacha and each version has different game mechanics. But idk, it's either that or Kaeya just won't be upgraded ever. Which would suck, but this is Hoyo. It'd be a miracle if he actually gets any relevance too. I feel like he's gonna have like 3 dialogues about what he heard his Khaenri'ahn grandpa said when he was 6 years old and then send us to find stuff ourselves and that's it 😭😭

@@loola8908 listen. I mean no offense, but if Yanfei got relevancy in another permanent AQ as a main role then I am almost certain that with Kaeya’s background he’ll get an important role. Then again we just have to wait and see

@@firefoxphoenix6845 The issue with Kaeya is the fact that he's a starter. Quests aren't just there for lore and story, they're also there for marketing and advertising the character. Insighting the player to get them. Yanfei, although a 4 star, is on Limited Banners and you can pull multiple times trying to get her on a 5-star character banner (that's how a lot of people accidently get 5 stars they don't want). So Hoyo could still make money out of Yanfei. Kaeya/Amber/Lisa aren't on any banners. There's no money Hoyo can make out of them, not even a little. That's my biggest gripe with Hoyoverse. They made a character from KHANERI'AH the most *important* region in the whole game....a free character. Why???

True but only a small part of the community only got it die the fact there where view Character in game. If you wanna build charges fast, use the skill to cause Overloaded or Superconduct(Electro Charged doesn't work). For some reason, the AoEs from the reactions adds a conductive stack(per reaction) making it possible to add 3 stacks from one press.

@@kaptinkitten3683 yea I've done that and it's cool that it works that way. Just sucks that superconduct doesn't do very good damage and overload throws the enemies away lol
