I have owned a lot of cars in my life, some very fast and some very practical, but my favorite cars were my 1985 GTV6 and my 1974 GTV 2000 with Webber's and a rebuilt engine putting out 180 hp. Best cars ever ..

Absolutely beautiful car and a great sound. What saddens me is that in the not too distant future, these sounds will be a thing of the past, because of electric cars.

According to our Hemmings source, "Alfa reintroduced the coupe, only this time with a new 2.5-liter hemi-head V-6 designed by Filippo Surace" According to Hagerty, the car itself was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro at Italdesign.

@@tnisc it is known as the Busso V6 for a reason, Filippo Surace may have been involved in its development and trying to get it to work as intended, but it is a creation from Giuseppe Busso

@@tnisc Giuseppe Busso most certainly designed the engine who was also project manager on The first ever Ferrari, the 125 Sport.

Its a Giuseppe Busso, and the concept stayed completely the same (except injection versus carburated early versions in the Alfa Sei) only when introducing the 24v it changed a bit going to dohc heads. The restyled GTV “plastic” edition was done by Alfa design department if im not mistaken. However still very much the original Giugiaro designed Alfetta GT shape.

The GTV6 is one of the most beautiful Alfa's ever made. Only for me personal the Montreal tops it! But it's timeless. Often in my life i wanted to buy a GTV6, but never did. The V6 is a Busso engine and the first Alfa car they introduced the Busso V6 engine. Just glorious! Had a 166 3.0v6 manual speed, and nothing beats that V6 sound! Pure orgasm the whole time! Great looking GTV6, although i would have kept the original wheels and bumpers. But thats your own taste.

I prefer the first series Alfetta GTVs with steel bompers and no dent on the bonnet - instead of too much plastic all the way around. The 1st series look stylier, cleaner, nicer and smaller.... the latter probably not an advantage in the US 😖😉

@@tnisc Hemmings isn't always right, the engine is known as the "busso" engine due to its designer being named Giuseppe Busso. Cool car, GLWTS!

I got the mile miglia quadrafoglio GTV 6 2.5 with the dual side draft webers, intercooler, flat black louvres over all rear windows, factory bronze tint windows, pirelli P zero s, blaupunkt berlin, factory werks tuned baffle exhaust with stainless borla tips, power moon roof, recaro seats, walnut steering wheel and stick shift knob, plack on the dash of mile miglia, the cloverleaf on the rear louvres, serpent milan logo on the hood. She popped and snapped flames often. A cop pulled me over just to see it all. No mention of my speeding. Appreciation of beauty ran too deep.

Something definitely weird at the front. Gtv is angular . Remove the front bumpers etc, and from the side you can see it was designed to be like an arrow .
