See this solder rework heat-gun station kit I got for my workshop. The 858D 700W rework station is an excellent piece of kit for SMD SMT work.

Please be aware that the 858d is widely sold, and over the last many years there has been a serious safety issue that is still not fixed to this day. For your own safety please check the internal main power wiring, most ship with a fuse in the neutral and the power switch on the live. If the fuse blows the unit is still live, if a short to earth occurs the metal tip will be live. There are many videos on KZfaq on how to rewire the unit. The one purchased on eBay a few months ago, had faulty wiring and needed rewiring.

Further to comments that this cheap Chinese rubbish, I took mine completely apart for the inspection, and the build quality is excellent , especially for the price.

No and this one has two fuses my 858D look very different

I've had an earlier version for several years and it is a very useful piece of kit, more than adequate for occasional hobby use.

Yes, there have been one or two bad reviews, but I haven't found any fault with it. However, I haven't taken the case off to look inside.

The hand held unit appears to be too large and clumsy for any small soldering jobs!

I use it for other things like on heatshrink etc. I haven't seen many other units to compare them.

This is Cheapanese rubbish, it wil be broken by Christmas. A complete waste of money.
