My fav James Cameron movie--one that not many have seen. This trailer made me want to watch it again!

I love the films of James Cameron, his filmography is stunning. And for me Aliens, The Abyss, and T2 are still the holy trinity of peak Cameron. You just get to see an absolute master of the craft going through the gears of what he could achieve. That isn't to belittle his later films which I have also enjoyed immensely (Avatar films are a mind blowing technical achievement). But damn what he was doing in that stretch between '86 and '91 was just astonishing....and these films all hold up so well today. Class is timeless.

Absolutely agree, but I have to break up the trinity (at least in my mind). I think you almost have to add 'Terminator' to the list.

Very underseen work of Cameron, yet as good as the rest. Nice trailer man! Maybe you gave a way a bit too much of the plot, but having already watched the film, this gave me some good memories.

I've only seen this film once, but it always stuck with me. I really hope the Blu-ray/4K disc release happens in 2023. Its a James Cameron epic for goodness sake.

The Digital Bits has it on extremely good authority (Jon Landau himself) that it's coming either late this year but probably early 2024. That would be good since it would be the 35th anniversary.

Sweet cthulhu.... it makes me want to watch the movie all over again or play Subnautica. Amazing work on the audio and the video is crystal clear.

I'd like to know too. As far as I'm aware there was never a blu-ray release and we're stuck with a 480p source. Maybe this has been upscaled with AI, or someone found a good quality print.
