This is great, thank you!! I’m a 13 year old boy, and I’ve recently bought a Victoria Bluetooth Suitcase! I’ve been fascinated by records and how they work by the grooves indented into records, playing music! I’ve always been a fan of Queen, and I have a Flash Gordon 33 vinyl record, and a One Vision 45 record, too! I’ve always watched your videos, and you’ve made me interested in buying a record player! Of course, my money is only limited, but I’m excited to contain my Victrola record player! This video could help a lot when cleaning up my player, and my records. Thank you Record-ology!

One of the great things about carbon fiber brushes is that they are electrically conductive, so they are are really good at getting rid of static. I remember as a kid holding LPs to my cheek and they were so staticky you can feel those crazy electrons bouncing like the disc was covered in fur!

As I was raised in the UK, 45 adapters were just not a thing as all our 45 singles had the standard small holes, the same as LPs. If we got any singles from elsewhere with the large holes we would fit an adapter individually. These adapters were thin, and would simply clip into the center hole and stay there. Turntables were generally not supplied with an adapter, and if they were, they would be soon lost as they were never really needed!

When he said “I wanna touch it so bad but we’re not supposed to” I literally laughed because that sounds just like me :p

$30 for a bullseye level? I'd say just get one from the hardware store for 1/6th the price...

The Hudson HiFi alignment block looks very useful for me, since my headshell has azimuth adjustment. But I wouldn't consider cartridges or styli to be accessories.

I bought a record player but did not receive a slip mat. I searched through the package several times. What should I do?

When I hear the brand name "Crosley", it really makes me skeptical of the quality the product. Yes, they are a gateway... I wish they would have some of there better models available in the box stores. Many people don't know that they do make much higher end turn tables. The suitcase ones just make me cringe.

That would probably eventually completely cut through the record! Lol!

All neat accessories, but I am very concerned about the vinyl label protectors. From my archival training, the plastic protectors won't protect your labels in the long run, in fact they will make it worse over an extended period of time. It may not ruin the record, but it will ruin your labels.

Long video allrightt I've never thought to put a record on a nice countertop. I guess since I have free cork matts from reverb lp that I don't put them on tables or counters.
