What did you think of episode 7? 🤔 (Rate this episode out of 10!)

Sol, "Let me see do I hold 2-80 lb girls in the air with the force or try to hold two 2-thousand pound pieces of bridge" 🤔

Those kids playing the twins need to give the older versions of themselves some acting tips.

So the terrible thing that happened was that Sol kill the mother because she turned herself into a dark smoke and attempted to take the girl away instead of talking like a normal person. So the reason why that man killed himself was because he wanted to go home and went to the temple with Sol. All he did was reflect some arrows and a mind controlled Wookie Jedi. What wrong would he kill himself over?

So I noticed they call him Master Torbin. he was a padawan when it happened 16 years ago When did he become not only a Jedi Knight but a Master if was in a Jedi Meditative state also for 16 years

Mae is mistaken as to what her mother said. It makes a big difference. Mother Aniseya says « the Ascension is about sacrificing a part of yourself ». Mae reports it as « everyone must be sacrificed. » so it could be that the twins’ lives were not in danger at all and the Jedi misunderstood their intent

How was the power of one able to defeat the power of many? That defeated the whole premise of the of the series.

I don't have any connection to those witches. They feel so forced to me. It is a little like many of the deaths in episode 5. I only knew Jecky and Jord and that only a little but I knew none of the many faceless Jedi who died in the fight. And that is similar with the witches. The only one whose motivations I can understand is mother Anissea but even Coral. I do not know why a mother who loves her child should get violent because she explicitly expressed their wish to train somewhere else. She will not loose her child only it goes to University on a different planet. I believe all the witches , maybe exept mother Annisea are alive. The agression came clearly from the witches. And I feel it self righteous and stupid to use Sol as a scapegoat for the whole desaster.

I still don’t understand what traumatised Torbin and Kelnacca

So the mother turns into smoke to attack the Jedi who are there for Osha instead of letting Osha go, which she still intended to do according to her dying words just so there could be a fight in the story? Just like how Mae kept trying to kill the Jedi she was trying to surrender to just so there could be a fight in the story? The characters are literally insane. And it makes no sense that Jedi who routinely take away people’s autonomy with mind tricks would be THAT guilt ridden over what they did while being mind manipulated by dark side users. The writers of this show know less about writing believable people than they do about Star Wars and they obviously know next to nothing about Star Wars.

As someone who’s been enjoying this show, this episode was quite disappointing. I was getting visibly irritated about how much time was being wasted showing things we already saw in episode 3. All week, I was hoping that only half the episode would be a flashback and the rest of the episode would focus on Mae and Osha’s reactions to learning the truth and more of Qimir’s corruption of Osha. And on top of all that, the reveal of what really happened wasn’t even that crazy or interesting. I struggle to see how they will rap all this up in one episode next week especially with the length supposedly being the same as this one.

I’m trying so hard to shut off my brain and enjoy this show. For the most part I can, but once I start thinking it really falls apart. Things like why didn’t Sol hold the girls up instead of the bridge? Why was Kilnaka combing the forrest with a metal detector? And who did the casting? The Zabrak Mom’s acting is so abrupt and strange that it pulls me out of the story. I think there is a good story to be found in this show, but I’m not sure we’re getting the best version. But hey, it’s the only new Star Wars we have, so I’m going to try to enjoy it.

I was really hoping we would get some kind of hint or clue to how Qimir is involved in all of this. That to me is the real mystery

I think sol thought the witches were going to sacrifice the twins and that's y he becomes so desperate to save the twins. Keeping in mind that the episode is called CHOICE, YES! there were a ton of bad choices made by pretty much everyone. Also at 19:22 of this vid, mother Anisaya* is talking to the other witches. If you look behind her there is a person standing against the wall in a black robe. Very sus. Check it out. Perhaps it's Qimir?

So, the "real answer" to what happened was, the most obvious possible thing every one could´ve figured out since episode 3? So, basically to this show to work, the characters, specially the jedi must work out of their character all the time, just for the sake of making the p0lot progress? amazing

The only thing Sol did wrong, was killing Mother Aniseya (who was clearly unarmed). The rest of it was totally within reason. Mother Koril was the one that encouraged Mae to do something crazy. Qimir is clearly the bad guy here. 😂😂😂

Btw: I now know why Kelnacca went into seclusion … after the connection with the witches was broken by Indara those 20 witches were stuck in his mind. Must be quite a beehive inside his head since then.

I think Vernestra threw away Qimir and Tenebrous took over his training as a Sith. As a gift Qimir helped Tenebrous find the “vergemce” the twins… and is bringing them back to him since Tenebrous created them with the witches. The witches did something to create the twins that the Jedi would not like. Hence they wanted to hide how they created the twins from the Jedi. They did it with the help of a Sith, Tenebrous. So Mae will leave the Jedi like Qimir did to become a Sith… but I think Qimir will be killed by Tenebrous. To retain the power of two.

Another good episode in a great show! I'm excited for the final episode

I think Mother Aniseya was just doing what mother Talzin has done in clone wars to escape danger, turn to smoke and dissapate away

Did you catch Kylo Ren's Theme in this episode? It was slightly there, there is something for sure connected. One thing from all the reviews on KZfaq, most of those who are hating it have not even once mentioned about Kylo's Theme nor is even recognizing there is some kind of connection. She was trying to teleport herself and Mae out of there. Mother Talzin does the same thing but in a green mist.

The jedi did tell the truth though. Mae did set fire to their home

the witches were knocked out by indara but the fire that Mae started ended up killing them.

So basically this episode confirmed 3 things: 1: The witch coven IS evil 2: Mae burned down the mountain. 3: The Jedi are the good guys.

There is another, Koril is probably in her son Maul. I’m kidding of course. But I like Zabrak jokes.

After some research the concept of Vergence has been brought up in Panthom menace when Qui Gon actually calls Anakin a vergence in the force. Even Mace Windu was surprised that a vergence was concentrated around a human.

Was that broken bridge/catwalk directly over the mysterious hole that the witches were worshipping at earlier? If so, falling into that hole may have actually SAVED Mae, rather than killing her. Another issue: We know how Aniseya died, but we still don't know how the other witches died. They were controlling Kelnacca, and Indara kicked them out of his head, so the witches died from psychic feedback, or what? I still want answers!

Indarra tells Sol that the council decided neither to allow them to bring the twins to Coruscant nor to separate them from the coven. She wouldn't let Sol talk to the council, and she wouldn't let him face judgement. Sixteen years later Yord and Jecki mention to Sol that there is no record in Osha's file that she was a twin. Sol pauses and looks like he just realized something. At the time I wondered if he had accidentally revealed information he hid from the Jedi. If Indarra talked to the council about the twins, and Indarra reported that Mae started a fire and the coven members died, why does Osha's file not mention a sister? Sol realized the Jedi never knew about Mae. Indarra never told them Mae existed. Sol never questioned it because he didn't want to bring it up. Then, sixteen years later when Mae is revealed to be alive, who is not only unsurprised to see her but even says he's been waiting for her? Indarra's apprentice. I feel like Indarra did something significant that we haven't seen and maybe Torbin learned about it later.

My thoughts about the witch's force dust is just doing teleport instead of becoming one

We get the incident in full and it's between Sol and Torbin who let their emotions overtake them due to fear and misunderstanding. Indara remained level-headed and it was most impressive how show freed Kalnaka from the power of many witches at once. The great hyerspace incident being relevant to what we now find out is responsible for the twins being made from Force vergence is very interesting and a nice way to tie the start of the High Republic era and this tale towards the end.

I liked the last 2 episodes more because we had a bit too much of an overlap to ep3 here. So the content was no that much of a surprise for me. Still the battle with Kelnacca was veeery cool and I‘m looking forward to the conclusion. Its a 6/10 after the last two episodes were a 8/10

The only way moral ambiguity i.e., a grey area, can be introduced to the narrative, is if the Jedi are written in such a way as to contradict their own moral and professional codes of conduct, literally make the Jedi act in opposition to their own ethics. Which is exactly what happened, e.g., using lethal force on an unarmed civilian, the forced extraction of children from their families or hiding/with-holding information from superiors and the Jedi Council, etc.

Complete Canon Knowledge on the Force according to my own notes after this episode: Force Nature: Cosmic Force(Time, Space) creates the universe (galaxies) and Midi-Chlorians(first-life), which spread and create rest of life, which generates Living Force(Life Energy), which replenishes Cosmic Force and allows existence of universe to continue as a cycle. Living Force can be unbalanced by Force Users dividing it between Light and Dark, disrupting the replenishing cycle that keeps the galaxy alive. All organic sentient beings can use Living Force and speak to Cosmic Force, but potential depends on Midi-Chlorian amount and control. Midi-Chlorians attach to normal living beings and their functional birthed clones, but not to dysfunctional replica clones which have no Life Energy. This makes them nearly impossible to artificially harness or replicate, as Moff Gideon and Darth Sidious learned through failed science. Sidious failed to make a replica clone with functionality(due to loss of Kaminoan cloning expertise) and Midi-Chlorian attachment, had to resort to using essence transfer to store his consciousness and constantly fading Life Energy in multiple dysfunctional replica bodies upon his death. Sidious wanted her killed due to her threat level but when Ben Solo became attuned to the lightside, he decided to try to use Rey as a host instead. However, he would also discover that a force dyad had brewed between Ben and Rey, which he used to replenish his own dysfunctional replica clone through the darkside force ability drain. However, he was eventually permanently destroyed by Rey and many Jedi Force Spirits in this form too(no host ever allowed access to his essence and he had no dysfunctional replica clones left). Knowledgeable Force Users are also capable of manipulating Midi-Chlorians to create life in a certain manner(Sith experiments of Darth Plagueis and twin creation by Coven of the Thread Witches). But if this manipulation affects the replenishing cycle of balance in any way, the Cosmic Force retaliates against those happenings(direct activation of the Chosen One prophecy). Force History: Three Celestials(The Ones///Mortis Gods) originating from the planet Peridea become the first force users, as well as the most powerful. I also want to know how Mae ended up becoming Qimir's / The Stranger's Acolyte. Maybe we might get to see some of that in the beginning of Episode 8.

How tf is he allowing Mae to die when his strength in the force was powerful enough to save them both? He had to let one go. Was he supposed to let them both die? Yall be killing me with this. He essentially saved his padawon in that moment. That's what anyone would have done! I could see if they were his children and he was making a choice.

I thought the scene with Torbin and the mother could've been done a lot better, and couldve been really trippy and eerie

I feel bad for the Jedi if they have to consider a powerful and mind controlling witch as “unarmed” 😂 there are a lot of holes regarding their “mission” on this planet but it was at least a somewhat interesting take.

I thought it was fine. Possessed wookiee Jedi fight was cool. Torbin suddenly going crazy kinda took me out of the episode. Wish the reveal was more shocking than having Sol just kill Aniseya

So aparently apparently the jedi master broke the mind control. Then they just died. Was it a group coven ritual spell using their shadow force and died from forced break? Or did the jedi master use some sort of sith death curse.

Sol's wants of taking Osha as his Padwan in this episode somehow reminds me of Darth Maul.

So went to a planet for 7 weeks to find some force Vergence, but then did not realise until 7 weeks that there where force sensitives on the planet. Thought these guys would scan the planet first before having a jolly for 7 weeks. lol.

So. Leslie hedland said in a recent interview that the twins r not the vergence but that something else on the planet itself. FYI. Sooooo....

We really need to know what happened to Mother Koril ; this is not answered after this Episode!

The Mother (Leader) was trying to save her daughter and stop the fight simultaneously as She had already said "There will be no violence" (I might be paraphrasing). Yet the Jedi were ignorant of the different practices the Coven of witches had and biased in how one should and shouldn't use the "force" and took action based on what he thought he saw...Even Yoda said "Fear is the path to the Dark side. Fear leads to Anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering" But Ocea's master was like nope let me kill her because I have no idea what she is about to do... Great! So the Jedi are clearly shown to have made a VERY BIG MISTAKE... and LIE AND...COVER THEIR ASSES...But somehow Disney did something wrong when we are clearly shown that the Jedi are NOT PERFECT. Basically, they did EVERYTHING they were NOT SUPPOSED TO DO as they had BASIC PROCEDURE they ARE SUPPOSED TO FOLLOW. How is the coven in the Wrong? Because they had a different belief system and "their ways are strange"? Could you make it make sense? The guy was told to basically not externalise or "confuse his emotions with someone else's"...he's clearly not a padawan but shows he's not mature enough to make: calm, clear-headed or cool-minded decisions. And why does how they use the "force" make them look evil?

Not in the context at that moment. The head witch didn't need to do something to provoke Sol. Mae shows up, the head witch says, hey Mae come on over here. No one dies.

As mother Aniseya talks to the coven, there is a guy who looks like a younger Qimir behind her. When she says “i choose mother”

In order for this episode to work, Sol has to be completely selfish and almost dark side with his actions, and Torbin has to be a fragile, shitty Padawan. This Jedi team was awful.

I loved it, i think the haters have no imagination

It’s a good show! Good episode! Is it controversial and mysterious? yes, we’re all talking about it so obviously there’s some questions, that I think/hope will be answered next week. Like what’s up with turning into smoke? Are all the other witches really dead? Will Osha turn to the dark side? There’s enough intrigue and mystery here that I definitely will be watching next week! And isn’t that kinda the goal of any series? 🤷‍♂️🍿

Mother Aniseya turning into a demon/ghost seemed like she was going to hurt them...come on. Sol should not feel bad about what he did, the witches escalated the situation. This is a dumb show. I like the lightsaber battles...but the writing is sloppy, the acting is rough, and I barely know any of the characters' names because there is no reason to care about any of them. Sol was the best one until this episode. I also don't understand how they will end this. I'm trying to like it, I really am, but it's hard to be into something so...blah.

Sol was wrong, every choice he made was motivated by his own selfishness, greed, arrogance, pride, fear, ignorance and hatred. And his lack of discipline created the entire catastrophe. He needs to end ...😈

My original comments were erased. Thanks, unnecassary pop up ads. SMH. Grrrrr. I am not going to rewrite it, but I'll say, for the most part, I liked and enjoyed this episode. It was more good and entertaining than not. However, there were several parts that bothered me in this episode. A put part of the blame for this episode to the writing and story. There was disconnect of continuity and character development. Again, just for this episode. Most of the blame, though, I'll put on to Disney+ and limiting this show to 8 episodes and certain runtimes. I'm never against runtimes but I wanted a little more character drvelopment in this episode. It gives the viewer more reason to relate to what the characters are feeling. I didn't get that from this episode. I was also confused as whose point of view we are witnessing. Was it Sol? If so, there are many scenes that Sol was not involved with at all and thus could not give a truthful point of view. For example, the possession of Torbin. Though it was a great, chilling scene, there is no way that Sol would know what was going on in Torbin's mind. I don't feel that there will be no definite conclusion to this story in the finale. We will still have questions: such as, who rescued and how did Mae survuve? How does Qimir fit in all this? What happened to Koril? Are all the witches really dead? I guess, we'll just have to wait till the finale next week. Again, for the most part, I liked this episode and thought it was good. I really liked the fight scene between Kelnacca, Torbin, and Sol. I didn't like how it ended, though, with Indaria being the sole induvidual to remove the possession of 50 witches. The "power of one" is stronger than the "power of many." I, specifically, loved the call forwards to The Phatom Menance and the discussion of a discovery of a vergence and to Order 66 from Revenge of the Sith. This episodes opens the door to the question, if Sol and InDaria told the complete truth to the council, Order 66 could have been avoided and the Jedi will not fall. Hmmmm. Interesting point, I think. I also loved, loved, loved the callback to the Great Hypespace Disaster which was 100+ years before this. I am so glad they brought that into canon with a mention. I hope they make a series of all the High Republic books. As you can see, I am not completely disappointed and still feel this show is great, I just wanted more from this episode, in particular. This wasn't my favorite episode of the series. In my opinion, it was the weakest. There were some problems with it with the continuity of the story. The acting, direction, cinematography and choreography were grear! The mystery and the "misleading coverup stories" still continue. I can not wait for the finale and looking forward to a 2nd season. I'll give this episode a 7.5 out of 10. Still a good, fair review. For the entire series, so far, I give the series 8.3 out of 10. 👍

I like this show but wtf killed the witches? This episode left me scratching my head,unfortunately this is the episode I’ve liked the least. Anyway great video. I think this is a fair 6/10 for me.

Mike I have a theory on episode 8, I think mae will tell sol the location of qimir and and osha and will be a battle and in the middle the true lords of the sith will intervene and kill everyone no one is safe in this series

I think Nadara lied about talking to the high council she was pretty adamant on not letting Sol speak to them himself I think she made that shit up just for them not to get the twins

This was a solid episode to me honestly. Added to the lore with the concept of force Vergance. It also showed us the importance of communication and what limited information can lead to. Give us a lot to think about.

Should a Jedi choose the dark side evil twin or the light side twin?Yeah sure, a Sophie's Choice level decision. Lets ignore Luke can lift an entire fighter ship out of water. This Jedi can't lift two kids off a rickety bridge. Yep, that works. Meanwhile the entire Jedi council has a brain fart and believes you can set fire to a stone fortress. In the end it was a misunderstanding triggered by the evil twin kid who says, "help", nobody asks what happene, and they start killing each other. This is what happens when there are no adults in the room.

Breath of fresh air

I liked some of the episodes but the overall pacing has been terrible. Episode 3 and 7 could have been combined as one episode. This puts a lot of pressure on the last episode. I really hope Leslye Headland is not involved in season 2. She comes off as smug and a know it all with her SW knowledge.

How do u like this genuinely speaking writing wise it’s so flawed and characters change motive so quick and there literally painting the Jedi as incompetent and idiotic and the witches make no sense what so ever so much for the power of many 😭😭

I give episode 7 a 8.5 and it was a good episode not going to lie and do I think sol is in the wrong and he was acting on his emotions and I think he did the right thing in my opinion and kelnacca vs sol and torbin was a cool fight scene though and do I think mother koril is alive and I think she is since she disappeared into black mist and she is in hiding is what I think and good video mike!!

This show is entertaining and terrible at the same time

In my opinion this is the best Star Wars show they have produced, and I think I figured out why so many other KZfaqrs are hating on it, Its to be click bait and get more views. The only flaw I've seen is the one chanting scene in episode 3 but that's it. The writing, the story, the cast, the special effects and the music is spot on. This show is definitely better than the Mandalorian and Ashoka. Plus these are the best lightsaber duels since Revenge of the Sith, and getting to see the Wookie fight with his oversized lightsaber. Brilliant

I give the episode a 7/10 I definitely thought it was funny when Undara said to Sol, this is why I have a Padawan and you don’t… And then sixteen years later he’s had two Padawans and one ends leaving and one ends up d6ad. “The power of 1, the power of 2, the power of many.” Mae “help me” Her mother, who was going to let Osha go, then proceeds to do something… we don’t know what that something was… but it was clearly in response to helping Mae. I don’t think she have been trying to use the girls just to merge with them when she was also ready to let Osha go.
