The producers of the Acolyte seem to have never seen the Seven Samurai, read the tales of King Arthur, read a science fiction novel, followed comics, or watched any original Star Wars films, and prove it by their references in interviews. That poisoning scene.....Master Squid Game asked the local temple Jedi guy to take him to that floating meditating clown, so that's where they were headed...directly to his room.........but Ocean takes a short cut up the first staircase at the main entrance to get to his room and beats them all there, arriving just after he dies.
