I've seen countless reviews of this show in the past year or so and I still can't understand why Reva wanted to kill Luke other than the writers coming up with a contrived "redemption" story at the expense of in-universe continuity in order to make their new character look good despite her literally being made for the audience to hate her up until that point. The huntsman in Snow White had a better redemption story than she did despite only having one minute of screen time.

Mentioned that yesterday. Vader barely shows any emotion other than hate or anger. The closest I have ever seen him mess around with an enemy was his duel with his son Luke when he threatened to turn Leia if Luke wouldn’t which backfired on him quite a lot. Other than that I haven’t seen Vader do much manipulation or toying around with lives like his master. He was usually dead serious and didn’t have much patience after losing nearly everything that he once cared about.

Reva’s hatred’s towards Obi-Wan makes no sense because it’s not his fault Anakin murdered her Jedi peers. Whether you think she's funny or not is a different conversation, because there are those who don't think Bill Burr is funny, but he's a comedian and he was in the Mandalorian. Jack Black is a comedian, Christopher Lloyd is a comedian. Lizzo is just... a singer, and not even one that is trying out to be an actor like Harry Styles. Very strange casting choice

Now, I don’t remember where I got this information but I have heard that the biggest reason George Lucas sold his company to Disney (Star Wars with it) is because he was scared his company was going to go bankrupt and he cared a lot about his employees and didn’t want them to loose their jobs. Lucasfilm hadn't done anything serious in about a decade, a lot of the games released in the mid 2000s were okay or good, but LucasArts had at least two times as many duds as they did successes most years. The franchise certainly wasn't selling lots of toys either with Marvel drawing the attention of most children. It wouldn't surprise me if Lucas had enough to keep the lights on for a few years, but not enough for any serious projects by the time he sold to Disney.

I was thinking the same once I looked back at it, it makes a cool scene have substance because she would have broken Vader's concentration once he was being surprise attacked and made one of the most obnoxious characters of the series have a redeeming action more substantial. While I like that idea, it wouldn't make sense since Obi Wan knows that Anakin is Vader thanks to the recording he saw at the Jedi Temple in Revenge of the Sith. In it he hears Palpatine call Anakin "Lord Vader". Edit: Unless you are saying he hears about a new Sith Lord but doesn't learn of the name until way later. In which case, yea I'm with you that would've been great. And I just lack reading comprehension skills apparently.

In Legends, he learns that Vader, or Anakin, survived their duel by merely hearing some random people mention Darth Vader in some cantina on Tattooine and he nearly lost his mind over it that he went out to catch some breath. He then heard Qui-Qon talking to him, so he had to find somewhere private to talk so that people won't think he's insane.
