The adventure went bad in San Antonio!

The video will describe the details, but we had quite the adventure, when we stopped to do tourist stuff in San Antonio.

Definitely seemed scammish. As I waited my turn in line, I overheard others saying they didn’t know why they were towed, they had receipt of payment.

If that was a parking lot operated by the City of San Antonio please let me know. I live in the San Antonio City council district for downtown and want to let our City Council rep know about this. That is outrageous

I’m not sure who owned the lot. It is located just east of the Alamo, surrounded by Houston, Bowie and Crockett Streets. We were in a spot that was close to the exit onto Crockett Street. We payed thru the QR scan code that was on a sign right beside our RV. We received an email confirmation and receipt from ParkWiz.

I just looked at the paperwork, from when I paid to get RV back. Looks like it was towed by Creswells Wrecker Service and the paperwork calls the parking lot: “Crockett Lot 2 - Platinum Parking”

@johnoconnor5581 Apparently, Texas just doesn’t like us. We’re in Galveston now. I purposely parked on a side street, way away from the busy Strand area. I took pictures this time. It was curb parking, with absolutely no markings on the street, to indicate a boundary to stay within. The sign never mentions any size limits. We come back from lunch and have a $30 ticket for being oversize. Crazy

Wow. If the parking lot was mad and wanted to charge you for the vehicle and 2 bikes, you're lucky the tow company didn't charge you for three tows... Scam, ugh.

I’m pretty sure the parking lot and tow company are all one company. Funny, they tried to make me feel better by playing it off that they weren’t charging tow charges on the bikes. 🤣

Yeah, about right for there unfortunately. If someone there doesn’t steal it, a tow company will. I don’t drive my personal truck inside that sh|thole city. Bright side is they didn’t steal the cats (or bikes). **Found the lot on google maps. You’re not the only one unfortunately.
