I got my son taken away, for what seemed a lifetime, he’s been back with me for over six years, how amazing is God, he brought my son back. I sang to this song over seven years ago, a hidden part at a park, just me and my tears, begging God to bring my son home, thank you Lord. I found my diary from that day, I sketched me and the vast open area, I read my prayer, God heard me, praise you in the highest Lord. Thank you for helping me, for answering my prayer. If you are wondering, keep praying, God will answer in his time.

I was so broken for so long... I needed a breakthrough in biblical proportions, I neede more than a miracle, i needed Jesus to show up, and guess what, He did, and I'm not broken anymore. He healed both my shattered heart and split mind (not sure how many times it was split). The voices of my past have been silenced and Satan isn't allowed to speak to me anymore... I am a first generation child of God, Jesus is my Savior and my sibling... I am healed and I am a healer who was made whole by the power of Jesus Christ, and He's coming for YOU!

When you hit rock bottom completely and just do not have the strength to keep going you feel dead, because you are dead,in SIN, but then you feel a voice draw you in, that gives you a sense of hope and through faith you finally praise the lord and confess from thy mouth and confess that you have been wrong,committed sins that have caused pain unto you and your family friends and loved ones and you feel horrible and shameful and then u break out in fear of the lord for acknowledging what you have done over the years and many trials you had went through by sinning and just relaying on yourself and your best interest at the time for this world of satin..."New International Version Jesus replied, "Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again."then it comes you've completely dropped all of you're pride and by faith put your full trust and life in the hands of the lord.You shout "father forgive me for i am ashamed of my awful sins!" and you burst into tears of joy from and everlasting love and sense of tons of weight being suddenly lifted from your shoulders thats when you have just found the father!! ahhhh...another one that's been there...so glad to hear from you this morning...so glad to hear your voice. the Spirit of the Living God who dwells in both of us, and the millions of saints living and breathing in the world today bid you Good Day...I loved that you put "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them and they follow me:" yes, the "me" that was so small has grown and is growing into a fine woman of Faith....living, breathing, and working on this planet looking for His Glory everywhere I go and any opportunity there may be to Be here in present need and spread hope...really, it' a very "ordinary" looking life from the outside..."Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, minding you own business" I Thes..somewhere. It stil astonishes me when I think of how Jesus delivered me...the process of pulling the dark out of the light, and the dark demons out of my past and present....until i could walk in this present day without them inside of me...they're still here in the world, but they can't dwell in me anymore...Thank-you Father that my inner world doesn't match what is in this world...thank-you for transforming my heart and soul to better match Your image and the Original Design....Blessings!

My father went on a 4-day business trip to another country and has been missing for over 2 months now. Search efforts have turned up nothing. I struggle to be strong for the whole family and put on a good face and keep going but I just get tired of being strong sometimes. "When all is taken away, don't let my heart be changed...". That's my prayer right now. The whole song has become a prayer for me. May I, may my family, always sing Hallelujah and give glory to the God of all comfort, who brought us through these trying times.

This is a great song I am offering up as a prayer for a woman who lost her family. They were murdered a year ago. She is frozen still in shock, like recovering from war. The only way we can survive is spiritually praying, for a broken hallelujah. This is the perfect song to say, reach out to God. There is healing. He is there. When everything slips away, He is there and we are not along. If you read this, pray for her that she learns to still praise God. She is here for a purpose. Don't give up.

I watched my 9 year old niece be baptized last winter and the band began to play "Hallelujah" and the lines "it's a cold and broken Hallelujah" brought tears to my eyes. Her daddy had lost his aggressive fight with Lukemia just 4 months earlier. Sometimes life is a cold and broken Hallelujah. Her daddy loved the Lord and would have loved to see her dedicate her life to the Lord. Her baptism was such a joyous and sorrowful experience at the same time. This song is seriously comforting as we walk through the loss of our loved one and struggle to raise the kids he left behind. .

hi Melissa. There is nothing wrong with you. There are really times when we don't feel God. It is normal. But it doesn't mean that because we don't feel God, He is not with us and we will stop glorifyng Him. Becausr no mattet what we feel, He is still God. We may feel Him or not let us not stop glorifying Him. Our faith to God is not based on our feelings but in spirit and in truth. God bless you Melissa. Praying for you and your faith. :-)

+melissa matthews Yup, I was like that, too. After a week being in a summer Christian camp, I was revived and got closer to God. For me, it was because I wasn't spending enough time with Him. The more we spend time with God, the more we'll want to be with Him, and I definitely felt his presence. I will pray for you.

I know this feeling and I have known Christ for years. I live with a chronic disease- Lupus - 36 years of organ damage and pain. I hit rock bottom at times. I think I can't really be Christ's--satan's lies!!! We can't go on feelings--must go on the word of God--the Bible!!!! I know I am His and He loves me more than I can imagine!!! He holds me close and I can sing a broken Hallelujah!!!!!

It's great that you're seeking God still, hun. God never promised Christians an easy, pain free life, but he did promise joy and freedom in his presence. Just pray to God that he gives you strength and wisdom in these times. Delclare the peace of God over yourself every day. Tell Satan he has no hold over your life and that you belong to the One True God! I'm praying for you c: I've been where you are. Just keep your eyes on God. Maybe He's allowing you to go through this so you can learn to trust Him fully and lean on Him above all else. He loves you! He'll never leave you, nor forsake you! He sees yoir pain, and He longs to help you. Just give up and let Him take control. Praying for you!

I needed this today. My husband abandoned me 4 months ago and sent a friend over today to serve me divorce papers. I am praying revitalization in this marriage. I am praying for the Potter to shape his clay --that My husband and i can be who we need to be as individuals in Christ and together as a Christian couple. I rebuke satans plan to contort our view of marriage into a worldly one and try to destroy it. OUR GOD IS BIGGER THAN MY PROBLEMS. I proclaim that over my problems and yours. I'm no pasture, I'm not angel (definitely not), but I do know this, all you people who lost someone today, yesterday, any day, think a bought where they are, there with God, they could be talking to him, worshiping him, anything, right now. I firmly believe that they wouldn't want us to cry for years and be in pain, but to think back on the good times, and also, the bible says this, God will provide us with what we need, not usually what we want, but what he wants, and think on this, sometimes we need him, so he does what needs to be done to get us there, and then, will we will praise him endlessly, (literally, we will be there in no pain with no suffering, eternally, just think on that, eternally of no pain, no suffering, just praise to God. I'm what most people call a crafty kid, like I said, I'm no angel, but think on this think how have good thinks happen to you.

My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer last year, for the following months this song along with strong enough by Matthew West became my anthems as I cried out to God because I honestly didn't know how to pray. A year and a half later, these are still my songs when times get hard but God has remained faithful through it all.

I'm third generation in a Christian family. I always felt like I was pressured to become some sort of vessel for God which at the time I didn't wanna be. There were so many times I was broken and hurt and I would refuse to just surrender. I feel deep into a devils trap. Many times I know I should've been dead but the Lord saved me despite me not following him. Despite everything. And it's gotten to the point where I just feel so broken and empty and any sort of relationship around me whether it be friends or family or boyfriend don't work that well. So I feel beyond alone. And I've been trying to get closer to God because he's the only hope left for me. He's the only one to fill the void I feel deep inside. Only one who's ever made me truly happy. But Everytime I try I get sucked back into this slump and depression. So please. Please have me in your prayers. Because I am not strong enough to do this alone.

I first heard this from a friend and found it again today when I needed it the most. Indeed God has a purpose for every pain that we suffer from. The more you want Jesus in your life, the more He will conform you into His character. Life with Jesus is not easy but it is always worth it. He binds up our wounds and creates beauty from our ashes. Glory to you Jesus!

I find it so incredibly that even if you can’t physically speak, even if you’re sobbing hysterically, even if you’re too heartbroken to try, God still understands you because He sees your heart. I’ve had many moments in my life when I tried to physically pray to God but I was too weighed down by whatever and I just started sobbing. But I know God understood me anyway. And the same goes for joyful moments. When you’re so overcome with joy and thankfulness to God that you can’t speak or sing all you can do is cry or dance or stand in quiet thankfulness God still hears you and understand you.

To be crushed but to still pray for the one who crushed u is all God's power to be human is to be incredibly heartless to filled with every single type of evil and thoughtlessness for the next human but God is Good even when I am not he fills my cup up again for self love later having to give it to someone else God gives me what I have given out. I lost my mom to cancer in 2008 and it was only the Lord who gave me the strength to get through that major storm in life. It was my faith and peace in Him that helped me, and the entire time He was holding my hands! Let us always thank the Lord for always being there with us at all times!!

I had a friend to walk out of my life. It hurts a lot because we reconciled back in March. I believe that God allowed us to cross paths again just so that we could reconcile. I believe that the reason that friend is no longer in my life because it was time for me to let go. I know that God's will is good, and even though it hurts, He knows what is right for me. Thank you, Heavenly Father, for letting my friend and I end things on a good note.

I went thru some bad times in my marriage as well, all i can say is stay looking and expecting God to answer, for he will in a big way, and you'll know it's from him not matter what the answer is ,, Praise him now!! . and even more when the answer comes, GOD loves us and when your heart gets broken, remember, he felt it the same time you did. he'll move mountains and solar systems. he'll blow up stars , make the framework of another, and lay the foundation for you to step into another you, new and free just because of YOU!! because he loves you.May god answer your prayers and give you new breath to hold on a lil bit longer so he can show you not only your answers, but who he is even more.

sweetie, its not by chance that you heard this song. my prayer for you is that you've repented and accepted Christ as your saviour, Jesus is real and so is His love for you, He will not turn you away. If you call on His name He Will pick you up and save your soul. He will give you a new life, eternal life and love beyond compare. everyone who calls on His name will be saved. I was agnostic, believing in some, perhaps God, I knew not. Twice, I prayed for healing of people who the doctors said needed a 'miracle' to survive. Both times this God, unknown to me answered my prayers, and a miracle of healing occurred. Yet I still did not give praise to God, nor believe. Then, a decade or so later, I was desperate. My life was going nowhere, and I was severely depressed. I could see a wicked world. Suddenly, I heard a voice in my ear saying, "Why don't you read the Bible?" Intrigued, I searched my bedroom, and found an old New Testament. I read, and believed. I've never stopped searching for God since... There have still been tough times. Following Christ brings severe opposition from the world sometimes... But I'm never turning back... ...ive found the most beautiful thing in the world in Christ.

I have heard this song so many of times, but when my child died, my world came crashing down. It was then when I couldn't even pray and this song came to alive in me. All I could do is give the my Lord my Broken Hallelujah as he carried my in my darkest valley. I still worship God with this song as he puts me back together piece by piece. Thank you THE AFTERS for being a vessel for the Lord.

This song talks 100% about what I'm feeling in these days. Yesterday (30.06.2021) I needed Jesus and his presence, but I didn't feel him near me. Maybe I must repeat one year school, because my last work with kids was only critized and I'm broken today, because I needed him that day, with me. I felt lost and now a little shaken in my trust to the savior. Please Jesus and God, I need you. When I was a baby I was diagnosed with terberculosus and the doctors had lost hope and was declared a vegetable and they said that I wouldn't be able to walk but a couple years later my grandma took me to the hospital where they said that and they were in shock I thank god for all that he has done for me

It's important to note that, even to non-believers or non-practising people, these songs can and do bring an uplifting soulful something when we listen to them....some contemporary Christian music has really excellent melodies and touching lyrics

Melissa, I will pray for you, definitely. You need to keep yourself in prayer and actively seek God during this time. It is normal to feel apart from Him from time to time. Get on your knees and he will be there with you. I am dealing with radiation right now from breast cancer. I already had the surgery in December. I know my Lord has been with the surgeon and is with me during my treatments. Remember all the hard times we go through are what everybody goes through. With prayer and reading His word you will feel Him close to you again. JUST DON'T GIVE UP! Love in Christ, Beverly
