Why is no one talking about how he gets to play Daytona. Look at the set list for that weekend and tell me that Slaughter to Prevail’s rise isn’t meteoric. Shit is insane. Alex knows how to KZfaq and id imagine touring with Ronnie helped them out a lot.

You mention that it used to be radio edit type music or just fast Deathcore shit. Now they changed. I think streaming has opened up channels to get your music to audiences without requiring radio or CD sales. Now you can get streaming royalties and shit doing pretty much whatever. People also seem to have more pent up rage now since we can’t ever say what we want (like trans women can’t have periods used to be a scientific fact and now it’s…probably making people cringe that I just said that). The point is that the inability to speak freely causes compartmentalization which will build pressure. This type of shit is a release from that. Disclaimer: I was only using an example of many different things that could have been used but that type of thing is one of the hot button, shut your piehole, moments people are seeing. Thumbs up if you cringed.

Conflict wasn’t a banger. As id said when it first released, this is a filler song. It looked like a space filler to ride on the Viking wave. It will also be a monster when they play it live. But compared to Baba Yaga, Demolisher, Viking? Nah. Good song and I get it. But it’s not something profound.

@@Ericsaidful I mean, even Alex himself said it wasn't gonna be anything too crazy. I personally like it most when Slaughter does something new, like they did with Baba Yaga and Viking. Conflict seemed like less of a filler and more-so something for the old fashion deathcore/hardcore fans to sink their teeth into.

How can you not love this dude? I’ve had the pleasure of seeing them live in January over here in the uk and they was so fucking GOOD!!! We did the M+G with my son and it was so awesome meeting Alex and the other lads. Alex met my youngest son of 5 outside the venue and took a picture with him, he’s such a sweet and humble guy! His English is coming on so so so well too. This band are going places and are the next big thing, mark my words on that!!! Great podcast Nik you’re a lucky man to call Alex a mate 🤘😬🤘
