and how has it been treating you? i work from home and I have a daughter who gets off school and wants to watch cartoons on my old monitor. I myself work on my TV as a monitor (work from home office is my lounge).. I don't earn a lot and this will be my entire months salary just to afford this. I have watched so many videos

The best thing to note is that it has a 3000 charge cycle before the capacity drops to 80%. That is a lot of charge cycles.

Just a bummer (even if it's a little one for a few folks) : the River Series seems to have ditched the option to add an additionnal battery pack on their units... :/

Thank you for the detailed explanations. I dare a question: in the application there is the possibility to set the discharge values of the accumulators, in percentages. For this kind of batteries (LiFePo4) is there a recommended minimum discharge/charge limit or can we go with the minimum/maximum limits (0-100%)?

I watched a guy wiring a capacitor on his A.C extension cord, when he hooked it up to his Eco flower river 2 and reduce the draw from 260 W down the 20 W of draw on the equipment he was running.Is this something that's safe to do in the long run with your machine

Thanks for the review. I do like EcoFlow products, but don't care much for this case design. The unit is light enough for camping and hiking, but having the handle in the back and display on the front is just asking for trouble. Carrying it with the display facing down to the ground just begs someone to set it down on the front panel. And, setting it down on the front panel just messed up the display. Suggest putting a handle on one of the sides, so the unit weight is more balanced (even if it only weighs about 7 pounds). With a handle on the side, the display would face forward, or backward, but not downward. Also, try to keep the unit square for easy compact storage in a vehicle or camper. Thanks again for the review.

Regarding the handle design, it does also serve the purpose of ensuring that even if you tuck it back in a tight space, the ventilation fans can't be blocked by accident. I'm making an assumption that this was purposeful design...but who knows for sure.
@farside87
@farside87 Жыл бұрын
@@ReeWrayOutdoors I can agree with your ventilation comment, but the protrusion doesn't have to serve as a handle. I would also expect the system to have some type of high temp shutdown. But, that's an assumption also. Functionality is one thing, ergonomically another.
@ReeWrayOutdoors
@ReeWrayOutdoors Жыл бұрын
@@farside87 yeah it does have high temp cut-off protection, but I will admit the handle is not the most attractive design choice.

@ReeWrayOutdoors
@ReeWrayOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Yeah that would be an excellent match-up! I just need to find the time! And I agree - that's a tough choice as both are excellent options in that small capacity class. I'd probably lean towards the EB3A for the simple fact that it has just a bit more capacity than the River 2...and it has wireless charging for your phone.

How long would this run led shop lights? 120 watts in total. is it watt hours divided by watts?
@ReeWrayOutdoors
@ReeWrayOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Yeah if you take the usable Wh via AC that I cited in the video and divide that number by 120w, that should give you a fairly accurate estimate of runtime.
@user-ly3ye5fq1u
@user-ly3ye5fq1u Жыл бұрын
Will it run a CPAP?
@ReeWrayOutdoors
@ReeWrayOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Will definitely run one. For how long, will depend on your specific CPAP machine. I have a ResMed AirSense 11...running through the AC adapter with humidifier function enabled, it draws an average 28W per hour. So, 8 hours x 28W = 224Wh, which is about 10% over the ~200Wh of usable capacity on this unit. So I'd probably only get about 7 hours of runtime with my CPAP on this small power station.

@ReeWrayOutdoors
@ReeWrayOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Hi Emily! You need an MC4 to XT60 adapter cable (assuming you got the EcoFlow 110W panel, which has MC4 on it). You can go the inexpensive route with something like this: amzn.to/3VEpfcK Or you can pay a little more to get the EcoFlow version of that cable (which is a better quality cable, to be sure....but does cost more): amzn.to/3nyjdxM

Will the River 2 run a sump pump?
@ReeWrayOutdoors
@ReeWrayOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Doubtful. Most 1/3 hp sump pumps have a pretty hefty startup draw. I'd have to test to be sure, but I'm guessing you'd need something with 2000W continuous and 4000W peak to handle a sump pump startup. Definitely rules out the River 2.

Can I use an Ecoflow 160W solar panel with this?
@ReeWrayOutdoors
@ReeWrayOutdoors Жыл бұрын
You can, but I'm pretty sure the River 2 will cap the input at 110W. However, putting the EF 160W panel on it won't hurt anything since the VOC spec on that panel is well below the 30V input max on the River 2.
