The divergence in Code Geass's timeline isn't just the battle of Trafalgar, but also the introduction of immortal witches who can grant superpowers and also the existence of a super-fuel called Sakuridite; which made it so that the industrial revolution happened around 100 years earlier. There's also an earlier point of divergence with the Americans losing the revolutionary war.

Just that Neanderthal Paradox timeline is insane. The idea of all hunter gatherer but they have quantum physics and industry and robotics is nuts. Farming is what allowed us to devote large numbers of people to things other than sustaining life via gathering.

Hey Connor, found your channel recently and I wanted to say how impressive it is that you coordinate thorough research, an original script, chill narration, plus actual live video and graphics, all with a very natural presentation. I can tell you understand the topics and are speaking from personal knowledge and research rather than reading from a script, or god forbid using AI. Also thank you for not using ~wacky memes~ or sudden changes in volume or lame background music-I fall asleep to these sometimes and the consistent volume levels and lack of sudden changes is very much appreciated. You also have a more even-keeled and rational approach to these topics without over-dramatizing and over-acting. Hope your channel really blasts off.

Have only watched some of it before posting. The first video was great and this has been just as good so far. Diving deep enough into what you are covering and covering a variety of sources. A couple of other content creators I follow have covered this subject too but I really love how you inject spontaneity into your storytelling.

i don't expect you to know polish history, but polish culture being repressed by russian empire actually happened. kids weren't allowed to learn polish at school for example. it always surprises me how little non-poles know about the 1700s partitions... Xavras Wyżryn is directly inspired by the 1800s literaterary era when writers revisted pagan past, wrote about past glories to inspire fight for independence as well as explored progressive ideas. the book is basically 'what of poland lost its independence once again? fun fact the 1800s era gave you the jester in red outfit painting that became a meme, the painter basically spent his whole career making reimaginations of important events in polish history. his polish kings portraits series is iconic and used everywhere from notes to history posters

The 1901 scenario is a little too far fetched. There is absolutely no way the German navy would get anything past the British navy of 1901 to supply an army of hundreds of thousands of men across the Atlantic.

The neaderthal one sounds like another self hate 'humans are the worst outcome story. Also I dont like the idea that just bevause one region or peopel dont exist, means everything invented there doesnt exist either. Things get invented out of necesity, to make things more efficient, or even just curiosity and experimentation. So I think some things would have always be invented at some point.

the sony and nintendo story wasnt quite right. yes it happened and he would become the playstation later because of nintendo. but it wasnt sonys idea. it was nintendos. and it was because sega release the sega CD add on for the megadrive (genesis) and they wanted a piece of it as they were rivals at the time

The Civil War was not fought over slavery It was economic and about State sovereignity With no income tax the federal government funded itself off of tariff revenue and that was southern agricultural goods bringing in nine tenths of the budget but which side was more developed at the start ? So somebody was being blead dry economically and couldnt hope for redress via government as the north had the big cities and so had significantly more souls to work with and could out vote practically any legislation the south could propose so something had to be done and ought to have been done rather than yield to the mason dixon It was not about maintaining the institution of slavery
