The AMAZING 2023 Mazda 3! This Is How Mazda Upped Their Game...
The 2023 Mazda 3 is a favorite compact car. It has an upscale interior with superb driving dynamics for a highly competitive price with contemporaries like the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. When you get into the all new Mazda 3's higher trim levels and Turbo options, it shows itself as a legitimate entry-level luxury vehicle alternative. So what are the specs of the all new 2023 Mazda 3? Let's find out.
If you happen to be thinking of an affordable and reliable car, visualize the Mazda3. Since 2004, this amazing compact car has been conquering the U.S market, thanks to its fuel efficiency, onboard technology and safety features, it has become almost synonymous with safe driving and good handling.
In 2020, it even won the award for World Car Design of the Year. Also, Mazda3 constantly got excellent grades from consumers for its reliability, value, and comfort. For obvious reasons, value and reliability are more important to most customers than sleek looks or sophisticated interior cabins.
Every new 2023 Mazda 3 will come with a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated inline-four good for up to 191 hp as well as 186 pound-feet of torque. This makes the new Mazda 3 a powerful and torque base engine for its variant; some of its competitors' upgraded engines don't even produce this much power.
Also, all versions of the Mazda 3 will come standard with a six-speed automatic, but at the same time, the top-of-the-line Premium Hatchback can be fitted with a six-speed manual which is basically front-drive only, which will be the enthusiast's choice. The front-wheel drive is standard with the automatic, and it is odd for the segment, all-wheel drive is an option.
The fuel economy for the all new Mazda 3 is up to 30 mpg combined for various versions with the automatic and the front-wheel drive, but the base model gets around 31 mpg. Now, even a base AWD model is suitable for 30 mpg combined however it falls to 29 mpg in the Premium trim.
Moreover, the Mazda 3 Turbo is a special entry in the segment in which it provides a large power upgrade without any sort of high-performance chassis upgrades you would typically find in a Honda Civic Si. It sports Mazda's 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder found in far larger cars such as the CX-9 and CX-50 SUVs.
It will have 227 horsepower and around 310 pound-feet of torque on 87 octane, but with 93 octane, those numbers will rise to 250 hp and 320 pound-feet of torque. This will easily do 0-60mph in under 6 seconds, challenging the front wheel drive Honda Civic Type R.
User's can only get the Turbo with a six-speed automatic and also all-drive drive. The fuel economy dips to 27 or 26 mpg combined, which depends on which trim of Turbo you can go for.
The all new 2023 Mazda 3 is so much fun. Car experts have already talked about the Mazda's strong powertrain, however its ride and handling really make it quite unique. The steering weight is right in the middle of the range from light to heavy. It also builds resistance naturally and it delivers some road feel while every input returns give the same amount of steering the driver desires.
Also, the chassis then follows in kind, and as it is amazingly neutral with nary a hint of understeer. The body roll is remarkably restrained. Over bumps, the car does not get tense, which is impressive considering its torsion-beam rear-end. It is a vehicle that wants to rip around corners. Thankfully, the automaker's ride quality does not suffer much for its handling prowess.
The all new Mazda 3 is no doubt on the firm side, it’s enough that some people might be put off. However, the firmness is couched in excellent body control. The road noise and engine noise are peaceful, as well, making for a refined cruising experience.
Moreover, the Turbo on the new Mazda 3 may sound like a performance model on paper, but it's no Mazda speed 3 revival. Sure, the Turbo is noticeably quicker in a straight line and has a nice sound, but the engine is lazy. It prioritizes low-end take over a sportier race to the top of the tach, and also the six-speed automatic is not a speedy shifter.
Car experts have said that the Turbo's suspension was only switched to account for extra weight of the Turbo powertrain. It then ends up riding a little firmer but at the same time the handling a little worse than a non-Turbo because of the smallest sensation of front heaviness that is not experienced in the naturally aspirated version.
Of all the mainstream compact cars in its class, this generation of the Mazda 3 might just be the most refined in both design and performance. From the outside, it looks like the priciest vehicle in the segment, and the interior layout is minimalist without feeling cheap.

I’ve been driving a Mazda 3 sport GT for 7 years and in 2021 choosing to grab the Turbo instead. Definitely a fun car to rip to work in and living in Canada the AWD with X-ICE tires gives you the confidence to take on some serious snow, I just returned from the 1st major Snowstorm and it handled beautifully in deep snow side roads and the heavy wet slush on highway. If I could eliminate a few tech features I would. It’s getting a tad outta hand. Thanks for the video

@@jsl02008 It's really not greener here. Healthcare is a mess, but you might say "its free though!", well yes, but instead of paying with money, you now pay with your time. Cost of living is through the roof. Average 1 bedroom is $2000-2500, and average house is hovering around the $1 million mark. Groceries are overpriced to shit and taxes take half of your income, and it hurts when you see your tax money going to shit. Car insurance is a scam here too. We have some of the highest cost cell phone services in the world. Also 67% of Canadians say Canada is broken. I would say if you're in America, be thankful where you are for not having to pay an arm and a leg every time you go grocery shopping.

@popinjayjunior7698
@popinjayjunior7698 Жыл бұрын
Probably, but reviewers have said that rarely can the torsion beam characteristic be felt. Most of the time, you wouldn’t feel it. They have at least tuned it in a way to optimise the feeling. Idk if you have driven car. If you have, then you have merit to say what you said.

The Torsion beam not only makes it lighter, more reliable & more cost effective to repair but also aids in occupant comfort. The reason they did this is so there is a linear response feed back to the driver instead of two separate inputs typically found in a multi link. The amount of positive they found with the torsion beam completely out weighted the negatives which is why they went with it. Mazda is not a company that would ever compromise drive quality & experience behind the wheel. There was simply more benefit with that system. Unlike other manufactures Mazdas cylinder deactivation actually works flawlessly again without compromising reliability or performance. Why would they take this out when it aids in fuel economy? Why would they ever make the turbo standard? Sure that’s nice for someone looking for a turbo but what about the thousands of clients that want to focus on fuel economy & don’t want a powerful car? They would lose sales doing this & they would be forced to increase the base price of the GX taking them out of a competitive standing. I traded in my 3rd BMW for a Mazda 3 Sport GT Turbo AWD & this is hands down the best car I have ever owned.

Sold mine my 2020 within the first half year. Rattles everywhere in the interior. The airco only blew hot air, faulty emergency braking software causing random emergency stops. HUD broke, dead pixels in the digital dash. Doorrubbers dried out and made the doors jam. My dealer didn't help and Mazda Belgium pointed back to the dealership. Did not expect this from a Mazda car nor as the company to be so let down, used to be a big fan. Can't argue this is the best looking hatchback around.

Same here. Lots of interior rattles that spoil the car

Dude. These are great cars, but the automatic transmission … it’s weird. After spending nearly four years with it… idk maybe it’s just mine, but you can’t creep on the gas without it getting jumpy/jolty (5-7 mph in 1st). Engine shat it’s pants one afternoon upon startup … something to do with cylinder deactivation and the rocker arms. AC/Heater is very binary temperature-wise. Despite all of this, still the best car I’ve ever owned. Peace

I think they fixed a lot of these issues. My 2023 turbo doesn't have cylinder deactivation and the jumpiness can be mitigated with very precise inputs at low speed in 1st gear.

@@jackpowell8155 Happy to hear that man. The more you drive the car like manual, the easier it is to understand what the transmission wants to do. A Mazda tech did a reflash on it a few months ago and it’s much better now

The only issue with Mazda is that the exterior and interior designs have been the same for several years now. Buying a 2023 Mazda 3 is just like buying a brand new 2016 Mazda 3.

The fact that the turbo variant doesn’t have a manual pisses me off. If anything that should be the one with it, not the base model.

I’m good for all ‘upping the game’ but MAZDA needs to fix their electronics. I own a 2018 Mazda 3. But after COVID time, I’m having battery reliability issues due to electronics excessive consumption. I mean I go out almost every day and if I didn’t go couple of days, battery would be dead.

Just got my Mazda 3 Hatchback Preferred. The car is soooo nice. It really picks up off a full stop, my girlfriend thought it had a turbo when it doesn't. Interior is top tier. It's a little cramped compared to my old midsize sedan, but I like it. Feels more like a cockpit than a cabin which is exactly what I've been looking for.

For me Mazda it's a big no: 1) No touchscreen display, that rotary dial it's really annoying 2) Small touchscreen 3) Bad engines with no turbo, those SkyactivG are really slow compared to my 1.0 Ecoboost
