Harry (Dane DeHaan) captures Gwen (Emma Stone), leading to a battle with Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield).
FILM DESCRIPTION:
The web-slingin' wall-crawler hits the screens once again in this follow-up to Marc Webb's 2012 reboot of the series. Andrew Garfield returns as Peter Parker, who squares off against the villainous Electro, played by Jamie Foxx. As the film opens, we find Richard (Campbell Scott) and Mary Parker (Embeth Davitz) stealing away with some crucial Oscorp files while leaving young Peter in the care of Aunt May (Sally Field) and Uncle Ben. Flash forward about a decade, and Peter (Garfield) is swinging into action as Spider-Man; having successfully thwarted the hijacking of an Oscorp truck by notorious Russian criminal Aleksei Sytsevich (Paul Giamatti), Peter ditches the costume just in time to meet up with Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) at their high school graduation. Despite his deep love for Emma, however, Peter remains haunted by his promise to her late father not to get emotionally involved with her for fear that she could be targeted by Spider-Man's enemies. Meanwhile, young Harry Osborne (Dane DeHaan) inherits OsCorp and a deadly retrovirus from his father Norman (Chris Cooper), and brilliant but timid OsCorp scientist Max Dillon (Jamie Foxx) gets infused with a powerful dose of electricity while attempting to fix a faulty power circuit in the lab. Upon regaining consciousness, Max discovers that he has the power to harness electrical currents - the higher the voltage the more powerful he becomes. When a battle with Max in Times Square shorts out Spidey's web-shooters, Peter goes to work on developing a more reliable model of his signature weapon while Harry grows convinced that Spider-Man's blood is the key to his survival. Later, villainous OsCorp chairman Donald Menken (Colm Feore) steals the company out right out from under Harry, driving the vengeful youth to break Max -- now Electro -- out of the heavily-guarded Ravencroft Institute for a two-pronged attack on Menken and Spider-Man. The stage for that battle is set when New York City goes dark just as Peter declares his love to Gwen, plunging the wise-cracking web-slinger into a fight that could forever alter the course of his life.

It's funny. Gwen Stacy in the comics was a weak willed victim. They made MJ the opposite of her. Then the Raimi movies made MJ the weak willed victim and the backlash was to make Gwen Stacy tough.

In a deleted scene, one of the first things Harry does after becoming the Green Goblin is that he killed a large number of his staff at Oscorp and pretty much destroyed the place. His assistant, Felicia Hardy, was the only person he chose to spare, likely because she was the only person who never lied to him

1:15 i also like how harry's voice is shaking a little as he says ok. there are tons of ways to interpret it but i think one way of interpreting it is that harry was actually a bit scared. like he never wanted to be the goblin, all he wanted was to cure his disease and he never wanted to hurt anyone.

To this day we all feel bad for Gwen and her family. Her mother probably fell into a deep prolonged depression. Her younger brothers probably continued their life with drugs/alcohol as (young) adults to cope with the loss of their dad and their sister.

You can sense in the beginning that Harry is trying to maintain control of his mind as the Goblin takes over. Pay attention to how he sounds when he says “…you said no!” and “…you betrayed me!” Almost everything else is all Goblin, but those moments are when Harry has enough control to release his anger. Part of him doesn’t truly hate Peter, but the Goblin’s influence has corrupted him too much by now. Say what you will about this series (I personally loved it start to finish) but Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn is an underrated performance.

Soundtrack for this movie is very underrated. Spidey's theme was amazing, Electro's theme is masterpiece and Goblin's theme is something else. It's sooo good. It starts off bit cheerful, representing Harry being optimistic with reuniting with his old friend Peter. Then it becomes bit melancholic representing Harry finding out he's terminally ill. Then it becomes variant of same song, with much darker and sinister tones, representing Harry's desperation to find cure and frustration that Peter won't let him "met" Spider-man. Then it finally explodes into sinister, chaotic and aggressive tunes, as Harry completes his journey and becomes Green Goblin. You can actually hear bits of it in this scene when GG chases after Gwen and Spidey tries to web-shoot him.

I've always wondered why Gwen was muffling when Spider Man asked her if she was okay. She talked when she was carried by Harry and we just assume that her mouth is covered by like something that's around her face.

I actually liked this fight scene. Kinda. Could've been better but it was pretty intense. Not a great movie at all but I'm a sucker for intense one-on-one fights with characters on an even level. Also, seeing Harry hit his head on a metal beam made me think of a better Spider-man fight scene.

Imagine if this Harry did appear in No Way Home and he battled the other version of himself from the Raimi films. The both of them flying on gliders throwing pumpkin bombs at each other. Franco Harry would probably win though since he has that big sword and the pumpkin bats. Then again, TSAM2 Harry has this suit that heals himself. With DeHaan trying to kill Andrew, I'm sure Franco would be like "Don't kill him. He's your friend." and DeHaan would be like "Was. Then he betrayed me." "No. He was trying to protect you." "What do you know about being protected? He lied to me! I almost died because of him!" "Me too!... My Peter lied to me how he was Spider-Man, but only to protect me. I thought he killed Dad, but turns out it was Dad himself. When I found out he was Spider-Man, I became someone I wasn't. I became a monster. The new goblin. Peter tried to tell me several times how he didn't kill Dad and I wouldn't listen. And you see this scar on my face? This what I got for trying to kill him. And it was from my own bomb. Look, neither of us are perfect. Probably no Harry Osborn in any other universe is perfect. Both of our Peters have looked out for us. But that doesn't mean it's too late for us. According to my Peter, I did die... but only from saving him. And if that is my fate, I don't mind because I know Peter would be safe and he will be saving more people. Trust me. If you go through with killing your Peter, you are never going to forgive yourself. You're going to hate yourself for the rest of your life... wishing you could undo it".

+Same Kresil TASM3 was cancelled because the second one didn't make enough money, the reason it didn't make enough money is because we all saw the disaster of the first sad excuse of a movie when the first one came out and no one wanted to see that again, the MCU already has a new spiderman movie thats much better then any of the other ones.

This fight scene is the best final battle in any spiderman thing ever! The moves, the suspense, i love how peter is using every limb in order to save gwen. I love how its not just punching back and forth like other spiderman battles, peter uses the environment around him to start choking goblin. Huge step up from the first film, although not emotional, the fight itself is perfect.

I actually liked the Green Goblin version in this more than the Tobey flicks, it makes him closer to the comics somehow since he physically changed as well - it is super boring with just having a Goblin suit.
