Carball is one of the “ships” that Sarah shipped, it’s a reference to shipping and overall the writing and fanfic community. The entire episode is like that, and starts with a mysterious notebook with the Cartoon Network logo on it falling out of a truck called the Awesome Store. Sarah picks up the notebook and starts writing in the book, and everything she writes in it happens in the real world. This causes chaos and of course, Carball is one of the ships Gumball and Darwin stumble upon while wandering the town. Carball is basically Gumball shipped with Carrie. Sorry if this is confusing.

Looking back at this, TAWOG was actually a lot more dark than I thought. It discusses plenty of mature topics, like porn, and social justice. I remember an episode when Gumball was gonna make Penny proud by earning a spot for her in the cheerleader team. So he puts on a cheerleader outfit, and when Nicole comes to ask if Gumball is fine, he comes out and, I remark, LIFTS HIS SKIRT, and shows he is wearing a thong, complaining the skirt makes him look fat. This is repeated again when he cartwheels in front of the judges, Mr. Brown, Mr. Small, and I think there was one more, and the camera does a slow-mo zoom in on Gumballs ass as the skirt drifts below it. Why did that exist. Why does The Grieving exist, why do they discuss mature topics such as these with children around 10? I also say this is more evidence for the Adult Swim theory.

Many animated shows that I've seen have slight animation changes in comparison to the first season and later seasons. Family Guy, Johny Test, The Simpsons, and Regular Show are a few examples that I've noticed. I watched "The downer" as a child, I honestly didn't think much about it when I saw it but looking back it's actually a very dark episode which to be absolutely honest little me thought was normal, I find it interesting how it's now a "lost episode" but I can confirm it was reproduced in Mexico at least, also looking back I saw it two times only so I guess it was not up for a very lot of time.

Oh there is one episode that scared me so much, it was an episode where Darwin and gumball are about to leave for school. Richard gives them a goodbye hug, and which caused some sort of rainbow explosion. Then throughout the episode a zombie like virus happens and the infected ones ooz out some sort of rainbow goo while smiling. The ending shows the rude teacher making a document on a tape recorder but then Darwin and gumball infect him. They get infected by touching them and not bite nor scratch
