Every member and associate of the mafia must be capable of inciting fear and committing violence These gangsters were the best at it. From having fearsome reputations to committing brutal acts of violence, they are the 30 most feared and violent gangsters in the American Mafia. This video covers number 1, the rest of the list has been covered in past videos.
1) Albert "Lord High Executioner" Anastasia
This list is purely subjective. Some were left off of the list due to most of their work being done "independently" and not being attached to a single crew or family (Richard Kuklinski). Others were not included due to a large number of likely inaccurate claims made by said individuals (Frank Sheeran).

This whole 30 man list was extremely comprehensive and very thoughtful as far as who made the list and where they landed. Continue to make content my friend, it’s rare people make content on organized crime and always make sure their facts are straight while presenting the information with out any bias

From David A. Wood: As an US Organized Criminal History enthusiast from the time I was a historically rapt 11-years-old boy during the Summer of 1975, I find it not only informative, but also enjoyable when I can still learn something new about the subject. This serialized mini-documentary from KZfaq has not only gone out of its way to provide accurate information, a trait that I totally admire, about its highly interesting subject, it has also given me previously never before seen photographs of lesser-known, but nevertheless principal American Mafia figures from the notorious criminal institution's lethally hectic early years. Even though the legendary professional criminals that are detailed within the engrossing serialized mini-documentary, especially Calabrian-born Albert Anastasia, were so thoroughly selfish, so relentlessly evil, and so profoundly homicidal that they just barely qualified as actual human beings, they are still compelling people regardless of however they despicably lived their rambunctious lives! That is these "men" are still compelling enough to be studied for either officially educational purposes and/or casually read about for even mere hobby satisfaction. The latter situation from the previous sentence is what I have thoroughly done since the Summer of 1975 when I was a very curious pre-adolescent. Thank you one and all for having read my lengthy text and please have yourselves a nice day (Monday, July 23, 2023)!

Wow, thank you for your post. I truly appreciate all the positive feedback from you and others. Doing this channel and having and it being so well received has been both surprising and inspiring and I too, while researching have learned quite a bit in the process of creating. Working on this channel has turned into the best part of my day and I plan on continuing to grow it and also, sometime soon, starting a true crime channel with series on unsolved crimes, serial killers and crime in the old west. I hope to hear from you again in the comments. Thank you again for watching!

Great video. One question: I thought Neil D' became Carlos Gambino's underboss shortly after Anastasia's death.
@ocdocs
@ocdocs Жыл бұрын
When Gambino took over as boss in 1957 he did promote Neil Dellacroce, but it was from soldier to capo. Dellacroce was then promoted to underboss in 1965 when Biondo was taken down.

@@ocdocs Thanks. This information appears to contradict what is recorded in the book titled "The Murder Machine." Domonick M implies the factions of Paul and Dellacroce was a carbon copy of the factions once the Mad Hatter was killed: One side favored Dellacroce to be the boss ; the other side favored Gambino. Domonick M recalls hearing word that the Gambino family members "hit the mattress" once the mad hatter was killed because of the concerns about who would lead the family, Gambino or Dellacroce. I must admit your analysis makes sense and is backed by the historical facts.

It’s true that Dellacroce was part of the Rava faction and that they had planned to kill Gambino after Gambino took over and had Dellacroce’s Capo, Armand Rava killed. However the Rava faction never got the opportunity to kill Gambino and eventually came in. Gambino split Arnold Rava’s old crew and made Neil Dellacroce and Anthony Rizzo both capos. Here is a link you might find interesting. www.cosanostranews.com/2017/01/how-gambino-became-unofficial-boss-of.html?m=1

There are a number of different stories. The legend has all the big names present, but there are other plausible scenarios. One story has Luciano not even present at the murder.

Don’t understand the use of Jewish gangster Monk Eastman’s pictures as a stand in for Joseph Pinzolo. Sloppy and erroneous editing. Can overlook the use of the so called “Maranzano” picture because despite it being proved that it isn’t him, everyone else uses it now that the other fake picture has been so publicly discredited. But Monk is too obvious to let slip by.
