Once again, this oily stones. I like to think that its not dripping oil from the stones itself, but that when you touch you feel like the stone is covered in oil, smooth and slippery, but once youre done touching the thing, your fingers are clean

i agree. to me it's always resembled the look of burnt rubber (like from a screeching tire) on black asphalt

Always liked the idea that the Great Empire of the Dawn had people try to flee a great catastrophe by heading East to Westeros as well as going to other locations. To survive the trip they used Dark Gods and magic. Worked to get there but the Gods demands became too much and sent creatures from the Deep to annhilate them. Might explain the vastness of the stone being spread throughout the world

Those damn oily stones!! This actually makes so much sense because of the stone mentioned Ashai and that big black oily wall that’s supposedly 5 times bigger than the (ice) wall in Westeros. Can that man better get his shit together and give us some answers?? 😩😩😩
