The Angels are an Australian rock band that formed in 1974 "The Angels had a profound effect on the Australian live music scene of the late 1970s/early 1980s they helped redefine the Australian pub rock tradition their brand of no-frills, hard-driving rock attracted pub goers in unprecedented numbers. In turn, The Angels' shows raised the standard expected of live music in Australia

Doc was an explosion of energy on stage and a prolific climber. Speaker stacks, lighting rigs, he'd climb everything. This video was live at LaTrobe University in 1979.

Seen the Angels live at least half a dozen times in the 80s. Their concerts were full on. One of the best bands on the Australian rock circuit. Best was at the 4 day Werrikimbi music festival 1984. Australia's woodstock. The Angels played on the last night. Every concert was exhausting. Most famous song would be "Am I ever gunna see your face again". Doc was the most energetic front man I have ever seen. It was a very sad loss when he passed to brain cancer. Thank you to the Angels for the memories that will last my lifetime, wouldn't give them up for a million dollars.

Hey wolfhunterz the angels were the best band I’ve seen live. Firey 35 was spot on. So many great songs. Mr damage live from narara or any song from that concert is fire!

Likewise in the 80's on the Sydney side of the circuit. The memories are priceless. Very few bands put on a show like the Angels. Used get as close to the speakers as possible and go totally spastic. It was an awesome time in the 80's on the Australian rock circuit.

@@marlinblack6597 yep in Sydney as well. Actually one performance was the Cockroachers on before hand, ironically to go on and become one of Australia's most successful bands playing kids music 😂

Great song, great band. They are still touring these days, but with another singer (sadly, Doc Neeson passed away a few years back). Travis asked if this was their best song, in my opinion, no. Take A Long Line, Shadow Boxer, Dawn Is Breaking In The Graveyard, No Secrets to name just a few, were better, but all their music was great.

Id say Darkroom is the most famous album. They went by Angel City then.Saw them live in Chicago at small venue called Park West, bEEN A HUGE FAN EVER SINCE
